Faith and Ty are still hanging out at the nestbox - usually visit at least once a day, often more but usually don't stay long, just asserting their control on their territory I suspect.

Today however, Puck turned up!  The timing was so close to when Windsor left the Radisson nestbox (check that post/photo on the Radisson thread) that I wondered if it could have been him making the rounds, but nope, read Puck's band number so two of the boys are still in town along with at least 4, but I think still 5 of the adults.  There was a bird with a blacker head and a much bigger white breast - reminiscent of Trey's - at the Logan nestsite today and given what he was doing and where and how comfortable he looked doing it, even though Ty and Hart have physical traits in common, I have no doubt of the two, it was Hart.  Joli was definitely at Logan yesterday doing a lot of preening.

Rose and I were in Winnipeg this morning for a very quick in and out trip. We were lucky enough to see one of the chicks.  It had green tape on it's band so I guess it was Puck.    :)

You timed your trip to Winnipeg just right for some very nice photos of Puck! Thanks for sharing, RCF. I see that Puck still seems to be a homebody, as TPC has mentioned. He’s also very cute!  :D

We had a couple of chicks visiting yesterday ... Puck was the male (big surprise) but the other bird was Titania ... nice to see her again.  :)

Good to know you saw Puck and Titania yesterday … hmm, maybe Oberon was busy enjoying the Radisson site!

Today was a great day!

Found a couple of birds in the usual location. Ty on the south sign in the sun, and one of the chicks on the east sign. Found another bird in a different location. This one was Titania and I was in the right place at the right time. She was so close.

Titania, really couldn't have been much closer without having to back up to get her picture.

Thank you for sharing, Dupre. Titania is sure looking gorgeous in your close-up photos! You were so lucky to find her in the right place at the right time!

Ty and Faith have been trying to have some alone time together today but their kid Puck keeps interrupting them - or turning up right after the fact ...

Puck is our little homebody this year ... kid comes home every single day to play with the bits in the nestbox.  Maybe he'll inherit Trey's housekeeping gene ... only time will tell.

Titania turned up yesterday for a bit ... she's a big female ...

Late last week, Faith and Ty were doing a lot of bowing in the box but then Puck would turn up and off the adults would go ... not so much this week but it is still early in the season for post-season dating ...

Took a drive in the late morning and found Faith at the Tower.

In the afternoon, we found Puck on the east sign. As I was watching him he started to call and move. I could hear another calling behind me. It was Ty coming in with dinner. Puck launched himself off the building in pursuit. Once Ty landed with the food, Puck moved in. It was funny to watch as he grabbed the food, then positioned himself over it with his wings spread out. I could hear it in my head.. "Mine, all mine", until Ty took off again. Then the defeathering began.

Okay, back from vacation! Yesterday went out with my new camera lens and was very pleased with the results. Today, I went out and we saw four birds, both adults and two of the chicks. At least I think it was only two. Had my camera and the birds were all very cooperative. Went to check the pictures and found that I had removed the SD card yesterday.  :-[ ::)

Puck the little darling took refuge in the nestbox during the storm - took off as soon as he could though!

Poor Puck looks soaked, but he’s a smart little bird to come home for shelter! I hope his siblings and parents found a safe place to hide.

Yesterday evening, we went for a drive and spotted two chicks on the east sign. While we were watching one of the adults flew in and dropped off some dinner. One chick was very happy hogging the dinner and one chick yelled at the parent as it flew off. The adult lazily circled away. We set off in the direction of the adult and found her (I think it was Faith) at the Tower. Then we spotted one falcon on the top of the Bleachers on the east side. Had it's back to me and I was facing west with the sun in my face, so not positive if this was the other adult or one of the chicks (I think it was one of the chicks). We were able to see 4 out of 5 of the falcons in this area so we thought this was a really successful drive.

I’m happy to know you’re keeping watch on the chicks, and it’s great to hear they’re doing well. That was very lucky to spot four out of five falcons on the same evening and all in this area!

Yesterday, slightly before 6 pm, spotted 2 chicks eating dinner on the Tower. Mostly, just saw flapping wings. Ty was standing lookout about halfway down from them.

West Wpg - report from Dennis - Titania has fledged! Oberon followed after her & then there was a family game of aerial chase #mbfalcons

All the chicks are back at the nestbox - this troup is so cute.  Oberon and Puck are sitting in the nestbox napping with their heads over their shoulders and tucked under their wings.  Titania is much more of a sun worshipper - she's lying down sound asleep at the bottom of the ram in the sun, out of the wind.

All the kids are fine as of 1130h today - boys are on the Bleachers noshing on delivery courtesy of Faith and Titania is tucked up napping in the sun (not surprising, she was a soggy mess for much of yesterday) on the wall edge.  Funny how it was so unnerving when they first stumbled around up there, but now, she's on the opposite side of the building, napping on a 8-12 inch ledge and it doesn't look nearly as scary.

Stopped by the site this evening around 6 pm. First we spotted Ty on the east sign, eating dinner. As we headed around to check out the other side of the building spotted a bird flying to the north. It was Faith. She didn't go far. So I set up to take a couple of candid shots of her. She then took off to the south and while I was trying to focus on her flying, I spotted another bird in my peripheral vision. The next thing I knew there was swooping high and very low, an attack was happening. Then Faith headed back to her building. When I looked around for my husband, who had been shouting at me while I was trying to track and focus my camera on the action, I found him lying on the ground. Well, I figured out where the second bird was, under a car and my husband was frantically calling for me. A quick look told me I didn't have to worry too much, it was a pigeon. Still alive, no visible blood, but definately dazed. I don't know if the pigeon was otherwise damaged, and I wasn't crawling under the car to drag out the flying rat. He's just lucky to have survived that go round.

From TPC's photo, we don't have to worry. The kids are still being fed.

??? Have the chicks been named?

Yes, they have.  For whatever reason I was really twitchy about publishing the names before they fledged - like it would jinx it or something.  Not sure why, maybe everything was going so well made me nervous.

Anywho, the chicks here are named in honour of 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death - all from Midsummer's Night Dream which seemed appropriate - aren't our peregrines all midsummer dreams?  Female is Titania (no tape/silver), Oberon (red) and Puck (green).  I sincerely hope that these chicks all grow up to be the gender the size of their feet "said" they were!!!  Oberon will be a tough one to live with if it's a girl!  ;D  Titania and Oberon hang out together the most and Puck is the smallest and most adventurous.

Breaking News - report from Dennis - all three chicks accounted for - at the moment Ty is parked at the nestbox, Faith is in the other end of the same wall and between them is the female chick.  Male #1 is on the south wall visible to Faith and Male #2 is on the west wall visible to Ty and the female chick.

All are accounted for and seem fine!

Double fledge last night - the one Dupre caught and the other male went sometime later but he didn't do it on camera.  One of the two boys was returned to the roof this morning as he appeared to be unhurt, other one we are trying to locate but if he is on a rooftop, we won't see him until he sits on an edge or decides to fly again.

Sorry, correction here ... the boys are fine, looks like they both went last night and it was the female who went this morning and was rescued.  Too much multi-tasking when I made my initial report!!

On Friday, spotted one chick looking over the east wall at about 1:30 pm. and Faith on the sign at about 4 pm.

Sunday about 1:30 spotted one chick with what looks like red tape on their left leg doing a bit of wing stretching. Then launched itself onto the roof. Won't be long till their headed out the other way.

At about 4:20 pm, one chick with white or silver on left leg also doing some stretching on the wall.

Thanks for keeping us updated TPC! and love the photos.

Could you let us know any markers you put on the chicks? Which is the female and males?

Two of them were enjoying hanging out on the wall this evening. One decided to lay low, while the other one waved to me, then showed me the red tape on their left leg.

Fantastic catch Dupre! Beautiful colour in your photos. Thank you. 8)

I like this site, thought the winds might present a problem for the chicks but doesn't seem to be the case, may in fact help them because they have enough protection that they get familiar with the winds before they ever have to try and fly.  Didn't think that no or light winds would make my heart stop, but go figure, no/light winds mean the little darlings can get up and run the walls 10 days before we'd expect them to fledge.  Not a problem so long as they don't try to pass each other  :o  that's when my heart stops.  But they are getting good at hopping down onto the roof and running/flapping to where they want to me - and the ramp from the roof to the patio took no learning at all - zip, up they went.  And they have discovered that when the sun is hot, the rocks on the roof in the shade are very cool and it is even cooler under the nestbox.

All in all, these three are doing well (knock on wood), it is those of us who watch them who are doing not so well  :-\

I can imagine! Well, sort of. But I can definately see for myself.

At 5:45 pm, just a short time before the evening rain shower, Faith was on the wall. What are these chicks doing up here already? Aren't they supposed to run around on the roof a bit first?

Faith and Ty make a good pair - she is ferocious like Joli (but Joli doesn't hit) and Ty is just the same but he doesn't hit, he keeps you in sight at all time so Faith can get low and come in fast without them losing sight of the danger.  These two are fun to watch - they kept expecting us to come back and he parked himself at the nestbox with the kids and she just kept circling quietly above like a great white shark waiting for bait.

Great strategy!

They made a plan and told each other - Don’t worry, I’ve got your back!  8)  :)

1100h - two chicks - female & male - are up on the patio - female is lying down napping, brother is newly up there and looking around. Other boy is sound asleep tucked into a corner of the nestbox,

These guys are between 30 and 32 days old as of today.

At the Radisson, the chicks have inside the box, the balcony, the nestledge and the edge of the nestbox at the Radisson is where the chicks perch when they are in the last 7-10 days before fledging and then they are off.  Here the chicks have a kind of split level design - have the box where they have spent all their time up until now and then above that, but below the edge of the roof is the patio.  From the patio they can sit and look out and see what their parents are up to.  They can also stay out of the wind which is a big component of life at this location and it is wide enough that they can all nap on it together or separately.  The last feature is a ramp down to the roof itself, not unlike what we have for the Brandon chicks.  Brandon chicks don't generally use the ramp except as a toy past the first few days (they jump up after that when they want to get under cover) - here however, the chicks will use the ramp for a week as the box is too high for them to jump up to before they actually start to fly short distances.  Once they get to the stage when the Radisson chicks would be hopping up on the box edge, that is when the WW chicks tend to be make short flights across the roof like at McKenzie Seeds and then they may from time to time, hop up on the roof of the nestbox or up onto the roof itself.  Because they have lots of vertical things to land on and horizontal space to fly back and forth and still have a measure of protection from the wind, they tend not to hop on the roof wall until they are having some serious thoughts about flying.  This is how it generally works, we'll have to see if this crew use it the same way as their predecessors.

The kids aren't a bit rowdy tonight, one of the boys is lying down and looks very comfy, well, except for his brother who is keeps poking, nibbling and occasionally stomping on him ... their sister was also annoying him but now she's gone to find her own little corner to curl up in.  Ty dropped by to check on them but because he didn't have any food they weren't as interested in him as they usually are ...

Hi TPC, I'm assuming these chicks have been banded by now. What was the result? Girls? Boys?

Chicks were banded this morning.  Dennis has a new girlfriend ... Mama Faith likes to try and hit which just makes Dennis' day!  Cowboy was the last bird who was so willing to do bodily harm to us.  Three chicks, two males and one female.  All like to fight and spit.  Good for a peregrine but meant Dr Bob got another band-aid today - just a wee little one but it was on the same hand as last time so it was insult to past-injury!  Chicks did not want to get out of the nestbox, did not want to be banded and did not want to get back in the nestbox when we were done.

I hope (knock on wood) their chicks do well, I think they may have some kick genetics.  Hopefully one of them has some housekeeping genes - the WW birds aren't as bad as the Radisson nestbox (I hate the thought of zooming in with the cam at times there!) but they still had more than there fair share of old meals hanging around way past their best by date!

Dennis will have photos, I thought he was going to break his face he was smiling so much!!  ;D

Bit of a fish-eye lens, but you could well be right  ;D

That would be my guess too. Seems to be a trend here in Winnipeg. Female to male ratio.

I’ve also been wondering - who’s who? I think we’ll be finding out pretty soon though - if not today. :D

We had a report yesterday from a member of the public that he thought he might have found a dead peregrine near the West Winnipeg site.  Needless to say I zipped down to the location and found the bird just where he'd carefully placed it.  Fortunately I already knew it wasn't Ry or Faith they were parked at opposite ends of the nestsite but we'd had a third bird flying overhead during the banding so if it the flee-by wasn't a resident bird could it have been a tourist and if so might it be someone we know and did they perhaps run afoul of the West Winnipeg pair - Ty is perfectly willing to defend his territory as we know first-hand.  But it turns out the hoofbeats I was hearing was horse not zebra and the dead bird was a Coopers Hawk.  Broke its neck - could have struck a nearby building (that's how it presents) but was it just bad luck or were Ty/Faith involved? It was certainly close enough to be a possibility and this pair is still touchy with young chicks.  Nice looking bird.

Because of today's warm temperatures and because the box shades them from the sun, the chicks were uncovered for much of the day without an adult, with an adult standing nearby in the box or as in this case, hanging out on the nestbox roof.

Nice that the kids lined up with their heads all in a row  ;D

Yup, Faith was waiting for Tot 3 to hatch yesterday.  Got a first look at the third chick just before 1526h when everyone got fed - new chick is absolutely not a meek younger sib - chick was front and centre asking for food. At only a few hours old, it did very well staying upright longer than I thought it would.  Well up then down and up again, repeat.  Very cute.  Faith is much better at the feeding now - practice is improving her skills.  Still rough around the edges both with feeding and getting the chicks under her but having said that Ty had a funny episode getting the three chicks and last egg under him, flipped one of the chicks over and it protested mightily for about 2 seconds before it nodded off to sleep again.  These two have got a good routine - lots of meals through the day, everyone getting fed each time, nice sharing of responsibilities, they have figured out how to manage the rain and Ty seems to be channelling his father Trey's housekeeping genes - their box is pristine compared to the same time after hatching at the Radisson.  Got to love the personality differences between birds!

It is raining again but not nearly as hard as a couple of days ago - whole back corner of the box is dry and has been all morning.  Very fast meal just about 1/2 hour ago and then she hopped right back on the tots.  Thought it was because of the rain, but mostly she takes a break and Ty sits with the kids for awhile.  Not this time and I think perhaps a saw a bit of wet chick on her when she moved but can't be sure - certainly neither of the chicks got wet during the last meal so if not a third chick hatching, must have been just a trick of the light.  Will likely have to wait at least a couple of hours until the next meal to find out however .... more news as I have it ...

There was a meal about 0230h - couldn't see it in the dark, but did see the delivery & her fast retrieval.  Another meal at 0428h by Ty this time and no problems so it is nice that Faith isn't insisting on doing all the feeding like Princess.

Oh, Tot 1 now has a bud ...

And yes, she will get better at feeding ... she also needs to work on how to get off the chicks ... she changed places with Ty just before 0700h and knocked one of the chicks right off her foot and s/he rolled and ended up on his back looking like a drunken sailor.  Not much of a roll but cute as all get out. That she'll learn in time as well.  I'll see if I can't catch some video for folks later today (its a work day  ;))

Faith looks to be doing very well as a new mom!

Congratulations Ty and Faith, and welcome to the big world, little one.  :-*

She had the incubation part down pat - no rain got by her!  The feeding stuff she's not so good at yet - not like Beatrix who, as we have said before here, looked like she'd been doing it for 10 years in her first year as a Mom.  But Faith is improving - first meal sucked big time, she knew the theory but was having trouble visualizing the follow through.  That was about 2pm as I recall.  By 4pm, she was getting the hang of the follow through but not the fact that chick can barely hold its head up let alone help a great deal with the feeding process.  Knocked him flat at one point - actually, did it at both feedings, nearly buried him under the meal she was bring him the first time, second time was pushing food into his mouth and over he toppled.  Very cute and in slow motion.  Think chick two might have hatched a wee bit ago, that or she's stuffing the eggshells back under her again.  Funny to watch her do that actually - all the rest of our parents fling them around with great abandon in comparison!  Might get another look if there is another meal before the light leaves.

Great news for this nest. Ty and Faith appear to be a good match. I do however miss Beatrix. Happy this nest will continue to provide us with eggs/chicks for years to come.  ;D

We have our first hatch (or hatches) for Ty and Faith!!

Last night could see 4 eggs at just past 1900h.  Then the rain started and Faith has been velcroed to the eggs since then (yes that is 16 hours now).  I started checking the recordings frame by frame this morning when there was enough light to see the birds (it was still raining) and couldn't see anything until Faith pulled out an eggshell, nibbled on it for a few seconds then stuffed it back under her.  It is now 4 hours later and she has played with the same or other eggshells for seconds at a time before stuffing them back under her.  Her nestbox looks exactly the same as it did yesterday, a week ago, three weeks ago - pristine with nary any sign of eggs hatching or chicks.  She's not getting off until she's convinced that the chick won't get wet so will keep an eye out for first feeding and then maybe I'll be able to get a chick count - or maybe not, don't know where she'll stand to feed the tots (back to camera or not).

It is nice that tomorrow is going to be dry, sunny and warm - get the who crew hatched and through their first meals.  Friday is suppose to be rainy again and then we have (if the forecast is correct) about 10 day with low/no probability of rain.  Hope they are right - both for West Winnipeg and the McKenzie Seeds chicks which are due next week.

More news as I have it ...

These two look to be doing very well, eggs and nestbox look great, they are sharing incubation though Faith is definitely the primary incubator she doesn't seem to have any problem passing the torch.  And they are pretty consistent and have been from early on - he does more in the morning, she does most the rest of the day and overnight.  Smooth transfers, very fast unless it is more than a little warm or the sun is shining on them.  I only know there has been a transfer when I'm checking the recording when the size of the bird changes (dramatically) from one tick to another (each tick is a minute long).  Think start of hatching is still 2-4 days away but every pair is different and Faith is larger and these eggs have been very tightly covered since the start - if either of those has any bearing, it could change the timeline.  Can't say if I see a pip or anything on the eggs, mostly just don't get to see them for long.  Will be keeping an eye on them however over the weekend just in case they want into the world sooner than we anticipate.

How close are we to the first hatch, TPC?

Its Faith's first nest so can only go with the average - in which case, the week after next, probably starting after May 29th.

Faith and Ty are doing fine and their eggs look great.  Faith seems to prefer Ty take the morning shift, she takes the afternoon, he comes in for a short period in the late evening and she takes the majority of the overnight.

From this morning - Faith leaving the eggs at shift change - it was about 0830h and that may have been the last sun we see today ...

not the best photo of Faith - she really is quite beautiful, but she hasn't been cooperating much on the camera - at some point I'll catch a really nice image of her incubating and post it so everyone can see her up close.

Three is a good number. At this time, Beatrix is in a good place. The height of the storm season has begun in the south. Multiple tornadoes have been reported in many states. Beatrix, we DO miss you!

second egg yesterday but wouldn't show us until this morning when it was warm enough in the early morning sun for the eggs to be uncovered

I miss Beatrix, but would also find it sad if Ty was left all alone this season.

Hopefully this clutch will be successful for Ty and Faith.

Nesting season has begun for Ty and Faith as well ...

Not sure that they are Ty's kids however, her affair with Hart and Ty's return are both right at the border of when her eggs would have started forming.  Doesn't appear to both Ty at all, he's already been in the box playing duvet a bit this morning.  Faith is young, so we will have to see how many eggs she lays and how she does as a mom - Ty knows what he is doing - this will be his fourth confirmed nesting and most of his chicks have done well so far as we know.

So, what will this mean for Beatrix? It will depend on a) when Beatrix is recovered and can be re-released, b) if Beatrix returns to West Winnipeg, c) what Ty decides to do (Team Beatrix or Team Faith) and c) if Faith is able to defend her right to Ty and the WW territory this year.  So no predictions, way too many variables and they all begin with when Beatrix is strong enough to be re-released.

Both were on the Diner yesterday about 5:45. Looked like Ty was chowing down on the south sign - the feathers were flying. Faith was on the east sign also having dinner.

Ty may be starting to flirt with young Faith from Duluth.  He joined her in the nestbox for the first time today and he came by with food, not necessarily for her, but after he flew away, so did she and then he turned up sans food so he likely gave it to her ....

Faith and Ty were back and forth in the nestbox all of yesterday despite the winds.  Their behaviour at the nestbox is not what I would expect to see if they were courting but every pair is different.  This morning, only had one visitation, not together but rather the usual he arrives and plays in the scrape, she arrives he bolts and she plays in the scrape and then he comes back and hangs out for awhile alone or he takes off again shortly thereafter.  I don't see the whole in-box/at-box courtship thing we see everywhere else.  And haven't seen any copulation on camera ... but most pairs copulate elsewhere ... going to have to see if we can see when they are out-of-range.

yeah ty.

any word on Beatrix. is she flying by plane

Not quite yet, she's getting strong in the flight cage, they just want to consult with a couple of other rehabbers to make sure she's good to go since she's coming back up to Ty and a nestsite to defend (or not if Faith has moved on) and chicks to produce.  All is looks to be progressing very well!

Dennis was watching the cam this afternoon and he noticed a bird that looked unfamiliar - well, not really unfamiliar, rather not Hart or Faith.  Very handsome bird with a black band on the correct leg so we think it MIGHT be Ty home.  Last year Ty and Beatrix both arrived home on March 28th.  We'll keep trying to get an ID.

Faith is still hanging out at the nestbox/nestsite.  Hangs out on camera at the box in the mornings then usually disappears for the rest of the day.  Hart came by this morning and did some renos in the nestbox, didn't see them together, but one after another so I imagine they saw each other.   And this after Dennis caught Hart and Joli canoodling at Logan!!  :o

Bit of excitement at the nestbox this morning.  First, Faith's routine - she hangs out at the box in the morning and generally takes off and we don't see her on camera all afternoon or evening.  Where she is going, can't say for sure.  Some of that time is for sure near the nestbox just off camera, some of it will be off hunting as she doesn't have a boyfriend to tempt her with offerings.  This is where the excitement came in today.  Right about the middle of what would have been an ordinary morning for Faith, suddenly there was a very fast, much smaller looking peregrine making bombing runs at her as she sat on and in the nestbox.  After a couple of minutes, she was off, with new bird in hot pursuit heading north at what Dennis describes as Mach 4.  Faith returned shortly thereafter but only for a couple of minutes and then she was off and away from the box again and she hasn't been back.  However, for the first time in a few days, Hart turned up in the nestbox and played in the scrape for about 90 seconds before he too was off and away.  Fortunately, it is easy to ID Hart - he has a couple of cute feather patterns that are distinctive but he also his coloured band is on the opposite leg from Ty and though both have black bands the pattern of letters/numbers is very different in shape, so even when we can't ready the letters/numbers we can tell the two birds apart, even if we can't tell (yet) who the new bird is.

I love Beatrix as a mom, she makes it seem so easy and her kids are, already, doing well, and I'm looking forward to seeing her flying over Winnipeg again but I must say, the more I watch young Faith from Duluth, the more I like her.  She reminds me of Trey, not in appearance (she's very different) but in her behaviour at the nestbox - she's, to be anthropomorphic, very house-proud.  Hangs out at the nestbox, works on her scrape, does housecleaning on the pebbles then goes back and waits ever so patiently on the edge or top of the box.  Love to see her be successful somewhere - here because Beatrix decides to take a year off or nests elsewhere or because Beatrix returns and Faith is pushed out.  Tough to like two females that have a connection to a particular nestbox ...

Yesterday evening, on bird was hanging out on the SE corner of the Bleachers. It was there for a long time. Then it flew off to the west where it disappeared for a short time. It later ended up on the SW corner of the Diner.

On a cloudy overcast Thursday, we checked out the site after work, and as we approached it looked like three falcons were flying around. Two very close to each other and one a little behind, watching the goings on. Once we got there, there was only one bird sitting on the NE corner of the Diner. Snapped a few photos, when I spotted something circling way, way up high. Managed to snap a recognizable photo of a bald eagle.

On a bright sunny Saturday afternoon, we visited and one lone bird was sitting on the NE corner of the Diner.

West Winnipeg - 2016 / Ty & Faith
Our 2015 resident pair haven't returned here yet but there has been a visit by Hart and a ladyfriend we haven't been able to identify yet.  For the moment, because we have had problems in the past with cross-postings and confusion about who's where in the spring, I going to keep this thread open for Ty and Beatrix.  If it turns out that Hart and whomever is his mate this year take over this nestsite, we'll move their thread over.

Hart and his lady friend were first seen at the Logan site this morning - Dennis followed them to West Winnipeg for their visit.  They may or may not return, they may just have been in the midst of a courtship flight, or checking out real estate or checking out the neighbours (who obviously weren't home). We've not seen Hart or Joli at this nestsite before so it was interesting that they should turn up there.  Might be the timing though, West Winnipeg is often home pretty fast.  Could be that tomorrow will have other surprises.  Just to make it a hat trick, Hart turned up at the Radisson this morning as well, much to the displeasure of the Radisson male!!

It was a busy location here today.  Before the peregrines arrived there were a pair of merlins at the nestbox followed immediately by a pair of crows.  Figures, they were probably in the midst of a dispute over the/a crows' nest.  The peregrines turned up about a 1/2 hour later.
