And just in the last two minutes a major wind has blown through my yard.  A little rain with it too.  Not a nice evening.

Bizarre, I'm in N.K. and I'm staring into the trees looking for anything that resembles a breeze, let alone wind.  I can see the occasional leaf ripple.  Small city and yet........

I'm away from home and in the far west of the City and we have wind but its high - the tops of the big trees are moving much much more than lower down ....

Or maybe there's an issue with the mounting of the camera. I've never seen this in past years.
Maybe a screw loose??

Nah, wish it was, we could fix it then.  It's that the street runs basically north/south so winds coming from the east (since the buildings to the east are lower) or from the south, get funnelled right past the cam and we get the shakes.  The camera is as close to the wall as we could put it to give it as much stability as possible, but there is only so much we can do ... (we can't actually put it right the wall otherwise it bangs and could be damaged in high winds) ...

Wow is it ever breezy on that ledge!

Now we see Princess in action as a windbreak, with the chicks cralleded between the drain and wall, she is mostly broadside to the wind in front of them, and she certainly is getting her feathers ruffled.

Must be a wind that is magnified by the tall buildings around the Radisson Bcbird.
I'm five  blocks south and just a slight breeze here.

Great capture of the full view of the nest RCF - It looks very spacious from that angle.

A post-snack chick pile now taking place.

I could be wrong Jo, but having seen this ledge from many angles here's my estimate.
Ledge attached to the building - 8 or 9 feet.
North and south ledges, about 5 feet each.

How they have grown! I've just been watching their cousins in Brandon. It's like comparing toddlers and babies.

TPC, have they been fed more because there are only two of them?

At first neither chick was interested - but they quickly perked and both enjoyed an evening snack.

Princess is tucked up on the chicks right now and on the west side cams the box is all sunny and warm with shady spots for any chick that was too warm...
