The ledge is thirteen storeys from the ground and 17 storeys from the roof (and the nestbox)

They do a good job of blending in to their surroundings. Kinderchick, I didn't see them either when they were sleeping against the bottom of the nest ledge - I assumed that they had moved out of camera range till one of them moved.

Couldn't see the chicks at first, but there they are now - bottom corner along the edge of the ledge. When they're sleeping, they blend right in with the "poop-art". LOL! ;)

So they've just had a feeding and they're hanging out - clouds are overhead so no sun to hide from.  At this angle, one of the not-so-wee chicks looks bigger than the other...one boy and one girl maybe?

They are so cute  :-* with their pudgy awkward bodies and big gawky feet...

Nope, 'fraid not.  Little tots are next to the wall bottom right - unless they move all you can see is their tail feathers, off-white of downy feathers on off-white of concrete pad ... I suspect they will move though when the sun goes overhead and they lose the shadow from the wall ... that's assuming we have sun that long, there are clouds (big black clouds) heading in from the west-southwest ...

She's there in case the chicks want to shelter under her ... at the moment they have found their own shade but she is making sure they will have other shade if they want it ... its instinct in the heat when the chicks are this age and a good idea on this nestledge. She may do this for another week or two ...

Chronology for today ....

pre-dawn - must have had a meal or two because when Ivy came to check on them they didn't leap to their feed like they did with their next meal ...
0810h - meal off screen

Cam will be on the long-view most the time now folks I'm afraid so that we can keep the "kids" in view ....


Weather for today...

Currently - sunny, 19C, winds W/SW 10-15km/h with breezy gusts higher
Day - Partly cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon. High of 22C. Winds from the West at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 50%. 
Night - Partly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm and rain, then a chance of rain after midnight. Low of 10C. Winds from the North at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 70%.
