Bet tpc could give us a VERY accurate date.

April 23, TPC posted:

Princess and Ivy are the resident pair at the Radisson again this year and yes, they began incubating on Thursday and laid their fourth egg (and hopefully last egg) on Friday.  Hatch should be just be the Victoria Day Weekend or just before.

Date or no date....we'll know when there's a hatch when the egg starts to hatch and then, poof, there's a cute chick!

So am I correct in my calculations? Should 1st hatch be around next Friday (May 20th)? :-\

Just watched 5 minutes of pebble picking and then had to shift position and some snuggles (sp) think Princess was the one from the size. So it's close to countdown. Can hardly wait.  8)

I vaguely remember reading somewheres that children will tend to live up to their names - maybe it works for falcons too! Princess certainly lives up to her name!

...don't know about kids, but cats sure do; my cleo insisted she was the queen of egypt, and genghis, well, 'nuff said - let's not go there... ::)  ;D...still miss them both...

I wonder the same, she left the nest to i9nvestagate then came back and moved her eggs a bit to the front of the nest.  The knocking seems to be concerning her.

All is fine in the nest ... some time off the eggs won't be a detriment today particularly late in the day - the sun is full on the nestbox and there is wind in there ... the adults may well have had to get off the eggs in order not to overheat them.  As for the yelling, that's pretty standard for them and remember, they sit up above the building on the communication towers - and on the roof edge.  Mostly they talk and yell at each other if one comes by/in.  You won't be able to hear the ones overhead if there is any wind, and they don't always talk loud.  So Ivy could have been up there, had a little pip to the wife and she yells back demanding to know who he's been off having a beer with  ;)

Well now. There I am out on my balcony reading and enjoying the sun.
A birdie catches my eye and yup, it's a falcon. Big smile on my face.
Unbelievable as it sounds, said falcon comes back and flies right by me, head looking at me.
Now I know that they are birds. But they do recognize people ie Tpc and Dennis. They've come to know me through roof access, fledgewatch and just hanging around in parking lots, sidewalks and aiming cameras at them. Princess yells at me every time I'm on my roof at work and am trying to take her picture.
So I don't want to say that this birdie recognizes me, but....... ;D ;D ;D

oh wow, oh wow.

It's been over 5 minutes since I've tuned in and no Ivy/Princess on the eggs.  There seems to be some commotion going on - loud noise happening.  Have they been scared off?   :(

Ok - panic over - somewhat; Princess is back after eight minutes of no one there.  She seems quite cautious of the noise coming from the roof  (oh boy . . . having sound has just upped the stress levels here) - anyone know what's happening?
