Now just a few minutes later, Ivy's turned right around to get his head inside the box and out of the sun.
The afternoon shift sucks when its hot/sunny ...

I am sulking today because I can't get in at all!!! What am I going to do???? Tracy you better keep up the video that might be the only hope I have!! Sign, sniff sniff

Poor Hen  :'(  Was downloading video on the weekend, will be uploading them over the next couple of days.

At the moment it looks like Ivy with just his head outside and the rest of his body in the shade inside - not sure he thinks much of Princess' decision to move the eggs outside more but for her I think it makes it easier for her to imitate a beach umbrella when it gets hot in the afternoon.

It looks like there are two eggs that are changing colours - has whitish colouring now.  Does that mean they are in the process of hatching?

Nope, just may have dust or grit (or maybe something "else") on them dulling the colour some.   When the eggs hatch, not sure you will get much of a view until the chicks actually fall out of the egg - the cams are great but not quite close enough I don't think for you to see pips - but who knows!!  :)

Is this a different camera view than we have had for the past week? ??? It looks different.

Nope, same angle, she's further outside though and its sunny ...
She does look hot sitting in the sun. Her dark feathers aren't helping her either.

She picking on a piece of metal at the moment. Maybe she's sharpening her beak?

That's boredom like the housecleaning.  And its the reason my nestboxes are made without pressure treated wood or or paint or whatever, the darn birds insist on eating their homes so better make it edible!

It's getting warm here now, the queen is actually panting.
That's how fast we change here, last week 0, today hot enough to make her pant.

Heard Ivy chuffing, squeals from Princess, Ivy jumped off the eggs and Princess came striding in. She checked them over carefully then settled softly down on them.

Little Ivy is just soooo cute!

He just changed position on the eggs and had a hard time gathering them all under him to his satisfaction.

He sat for 20 seconds then had another go round.

I wonder the same, she left the nest to i9nvestagate then came back and moved her eggs a bit to the front of the nest.  The knocking seems to be concerning her.

All is fine in the nest ... some time off the eggs won't be a detriment today particularly late in the day - the sun is full on the nestbox and there is wind in there ... the adults may well have had to get off the eggs in order not to overheat them.  As for the yelling, that's pretty standard for them and remember, they sit up above the building on the communication towers - and on the roof edge.  Mostly they talk and yell at each other if one comes by/in.  You won't be able to hear the ones overhead if there is any wind, and they don't always talk loud.  So Ivy could have been up there, had a little pip to the wife and she yells back demanding to know who he's been off having a beer with  ;)

Actually, it sounded as though something had fallen on the roof - when I logged in there this clanging, banging noise.  When Princess came back to the nest after awhile, there was this intermintent banging noise coming from the roof that she seemed quite nervous about.  Sounded as though an antenna or something had fallen.
