Princess was sitting on the nest this morning at 7....She must know some visitors will be coming today. She is ready to defend. As for mice I am sure I saw Ivy bringing a mouse...what ever I saw him bring it had a tail and not wings. Good luck witht he banding

Looks like the weather is going to be co-operative for the banding..yeah. Not sure I will be able to watch it from work but will watch it at some point! Happy Banding! They are so busy and funny to watch this morning! stretching and wobbling all around

They are sleeping so peacefully right now.  Oh...if they only knew what they were in for today.  I notice lots of dark tail feathers. 
I won't be able to watch at work.  I look forward to reading about it and seeing it once the video is available.

Note: banding today at approximately 2pm - barring any hold-ups retrieving the chicks from the nestbox.  The plan is to broadcast the banding live as we have done in the past on the main CBC Manitoba/Shaw FalconCam website (www.cbc.ca/manitoba/features/falcon/).  We will also see about posting a video as soon after the banding as we can manage it - will post the link when it is ready for viewing.

Weather looks to be sunny and hot today, good weather for a banding.

It will be so fascinating to know which chick is which once those coloured bands go on!  I'm betting those are sopranos doing the cam shows, so at least two females is my guess.

It will be on the main CBC Manitoba/Shaw FalconCam site and yes, there will be a video on YouTube and maybe even the CBC site as well after the fact.  Will try to get a video up as quickly as possible so that everyone who couldn't watch in the afternoon won't be left out for too too long.

TPC, you are the best!!  I know that the Peregrines are your absolute first priority, but you take such good care of us phanatcs and our (some might say) obsessive need to see the goings-on!

I won't be able to watch live, but I'll be thinking of you and the Family all day.

...I just like to hedge my bets when it comes to promising y'all a time for the banding!

Well, last year, you had thought around 10:00 AM, I think and it didn't actually occur for a few hours later, I think. But then, that's when you had to go up in the swing stage so  I remember you had to wait for the wind to die down... I'll just bet that Dennis will get some marvelous photos as well as Larry's fine camera work! Will Dr. Bob be with you, as well?

Boy, do I ever agree, Jo!  I feel more and more resentful about not being able to view at work!  I'm missing so much!
