The female is getting better at getting up on the ledge - that's a good thing, more practice = less of a chance she'll accidentally fledge early in the process

Watching the chicks, I don't yet have the sense that he is itching to leap ... maybe it is the time of the day, but it is warm (not hot), with a light wind and its quiet, all of which are favourable fledging conditions.  Mid-afternoon is not a common time to fledge so maybe tomorrow morning? Or the morning after or the morning after ... up to him basically ..

Weather for today - seems to be correct, it is overcast in Winnipeg right now ...

Day - Partly cloudy in the morning, then overcast. High of 27C. Winds from the WSW at 10 to 15 km/h.
Night - Clear. Low of 17C. Winds from the West at 5 to 15 km/h.

My daughter is coming home to get married later this week and is bringing 23 of her Australian friends with her.  As much as I don't want a fledge cause I just enjoy keeping track of the birds, I really need this to happen so I can get on with things.  Stopping by the cams every morning really stalls my progress in terms of getting the day started.   :-\ :-\

Chicks were both still huddled up against the nest ledge in the shade till just a few minutes ago. Now the "male" has just hopped up on his regular perch - the drain grate. Now back down again. They seem to be looking out & about - maybe waiting for Sunday morning a food drop. :) Ah! Now "male" has hopped up on the nest ledge.

I think he is on the drain cover, you can see a bit of his tail.
