I just watched the banding video on Utube; loved it!  Smallish birds - BIG LUNGS!  It's just been a few days but I can absolutely notice how they have changed in such a short time.  It won't be much longer now until they tuck in their talons & fly! 

Has anyone noticed any wingercising (sp?) yet, or is it still too soon?

If you look at the west nest ,you can now see the tops of the babies heads.Soon they will be hoping out aof the nest and I will have mdy view back.....Loved the banding....TPc did you lose any blood this time? They are soooooo  cute!

I see we can vote for the names now, there are 5 male names and 3 female. My question when I printed the names, wanting to see how you chose the names, the last 2 male names are not on the vote list. Cade and Fyfe. Were these left off purposely?

I noticed that last night as well. That one must be the female, wouldn't you think (since she's likely to fledge last)? Or would it be the last born, the youngest?

When I looked at the chicks this morning before coming to work, I could not believe how many dark feathers they have.  Their heads are even getting dark.  One chick is more white that the other 3 tho.

All four chicks enjoying the fresh morning air.

One was quite interested in something (somebirdie?) overhead - he was following what ever caught his interest and chatting. I was expecting to see a food delivery - but nothing. Maybe it was a pigeon and he was saying "just you wait!"

It's 14 with a high expected of 23 and 30% chance of rain. Overcast over downtown now with the sun trying to peek out.
