Feeding time!  That third chick seems to lay low at feedings and then swoop in towards the end when the other two are nice and full.  Is there any reason that one always seems to be fed last, TPC?  Does it have anything to do with the fact that it had that stroke last week?

Did I miss something or maybe I am misunderstanding the above quote about a chick having a stroke last week?

I hadn't read anything about that.  CRae are you perhaps thinking of the chick from 2 years ago?

Feeding time again -- and all chicks managed to drag themselves out of the shade to tackle food. One is hanging back now but he was in there enjoying his share only a moment ago -- too hot for much of an appetite, maybe.

Thanks for the close up. Our babies sure are growing.   I missed all the other close ups  as well as all meals over the weekend.  The chicks look absolutely spent.  It must be hot lying on that rooftop.  Oh oh the little one in the south corner is stirring.

The wind is South - 26 kms gusting to 37 kms.  which is about 16 miles per hour!  And yes, that is definitely a windy corner...much like Portage & Main.  26 c or 82 f
On that note,  I think I'll leave work for the day and check things out!

One of my staff just came in and said the birds are really noisy right now and can be heard easily above the traffic noise.

Note:  the ledge is shading, but the chicks still like suntanning..okay...a minute later...I'm wrong they are just to "phat" to move! cause they're half in half out.  But ever still so cute.  I just can't believe how their legs got to looking like "Olympic athletes" and they are moving around like lil pullets!

What's at the bottom corner of the ledge there? Is it Trey fanning out his feathers....? or is it just a piece of tar or something??
