Princess is being very fidgety ballywing!  I've got her up while I'm doing laundry and housework.  She keeps getting up and rearranging the pebbles and then back down on the eggs and then right back up as another pebble seems to catch her eye  :P  She has had her down by the eggs several times as well.  She is now at the back of the box, smoothing the seam and heading right toward the cam!  And a quick turn and back to the eggs!  :-*

I didn't think of Kinderchick's question as humanizing these animals; I took it to be a question about how they interact. It was an excellent question. C'mon eggies........hatch, hatch, hatch ;D ;D ;D

I agree bccs.  At least one needs to hatch this weekend.  I want my granddaughter to see a little white ball of fluff and a feeding.  But I guess they will hatch when they are ready and we just can't will them to hatch when we want them to.
I can't tell who is sitting on the eggs but they are right down on them.  Doesn't that mean there is nothing happening in the eggs yet as far as hatching goes?
Don't know for sure Moonstar, but it seems to me that when a hatch is occuring, the parent is restless and fidgety.

Moonstar, I think it is Ivy. I can see a lot of the white cement barrier behind him. When Princess broods, her back seems to go to the top of the cement barrier.

10-4, ballywing & allikat. ;)  Didn't know for sure because I think I remember TPC saying that she saw them nestled up together before the eggs were laid so I wasn't sure if they spend the night together in the nestbox now. :-\
It would be nice to think that they do nestle, as we tend to humanize them at times, but, they don't nestle, they don't cuddle, the don't say goodnight to each other, they don't make coffee in the morning, they are here to continue their species.
Yes they do pair bond, but as we have learned, especially this year, pair bonding does change.  And with this change, we as humans must take a step back, learn/realize that it's not about humans, not about our emotions, not about what we want, it's all about the falcons.

I think that you may have misunderstood the nature of my question last evening, allikat.  ::) I was not asking the question because I was "humanizing" the peregrines. I was asking the question because I cannot see into the nestbox at night and wondered where each of our peregrines spend the night. And I'm sure that I am not the only webcam watcher who has wondered that. The Kinderchicklets may tend to "humanize" the peregrines because they are children and that is the nature of young children.  But I do not "humanize" peregrine falcons. I do understand that they are raptors who's instinctual nature is to hunt and procreate.  ;)
When I see my budgies (which are not "wild" birds) snuggle and preen each other, I see it as a caring gesture. When one of my pair died, the other went into a major funk. The barn owls I watch do similar things and are very devoted to each other. I didn't think of Kinderchick's question as humanizing these animals; I took it to be a question about how they interact. It is possible to watch these night time (and daytime) interactions on some sites but unfortunately not on ours. It was an excellent question. After the recent pebble-picking-shuffle-leaving the eggs behind..........we have peace and quiet with princess/ivy all tucked in! ::)
Do they actually snuggle up together for the night with the eggs? ??? I haven't seen that.
I think Ellie was saying it's Princess OR Ivy, she wasn't sure which.... ;)
Kinderchick:
I have to agree with Ballywing on this one.....
