Is that Venus in your western sky visible from the nest box?

They certainly do look content now.
I do wonder though, how loud are chicks during banding?
I wonder if the video will have sound?
I can't wait to see the banding again...we even get to see Larry wave at the cam a few times again  ::)

All in all, the banding went very well and very quick which to me, is the best for the chicks and their parents.

It has been quite a day for them too.  There is that one again, little chick silhouetted against a lovely sky, looking out at the world beyond.
I am so looking forward to those coloured ID bands helping us sort out the personalities.  Who knows, maybe it has been the little males singing their hearts out.
Now a second one has popped up.  You'd think they'd be exhausted from all the excitement.

Thanks to everyone with the play by play and thanks Bev for the pictures.  Pam thanks for the pictures of Princess and Ivy.
Looking forward to the video.
Thanks again to everyone...it really helped for all of us who could not see anything.
Nest is getting dark but a couple of chicks are quite restless.   They keep standing up.  Sooo cute.

Great photos Pam!  I wish I'd been there!  I think that Ivy was staying cool and calm and out of the way, confident that Her Majesty had everything in charge.  She could've been screaming "stay out of the way, I'll handle this!!"

Boys and girls seem all unaffected and camera lens in nice and clear again. :)

Great photos Pam!

Is it normal for a first time Dad to just stand watch while Mom does all the swooping and screaming? I seem to recall that both partners usually do their fair share of putting on a performance for the 'predators'.

Right now the chicks are looking over the ledge getting ready to enjoy a lovely sunset.

All I can say is that last year both Trey and Princess were flying about, not just Princess!
