He is just on the closest part to portage. Almost under the nest

Tenzing is back at the north end of the ramp roof - didn't see him go so can't say if he was flying or running or made his way slowly.  In any case, he's tucked up in/under the overhang at the corner of the ramp roof edge.  Looks like he's more protected there than Hillary is on the nestledge!!

Tenzing is giving me a coronary ... he's flapped his way all the way up the ramp roof (it's sloped, higher at the north end than at the south) ... he's back at the south end now and hopefully one of the adults will bring him some food and he'll settle for the night and then if he must try again, he'll do so in the morning when the winds are typically lighter ...

Nuts, :o thought I'd lost him, he's run/flown all the way back down to the south end again ... if he just keeps doing that and getting stronger, I'll be happy ....

Hillary is still on the nestledge lying down on by the drain cover.  Tenzing is still on the ramp roof but at the lowest end - down at the extreme south end ...

What an exciting day!  Yesterday everyone looked so comfy in the nest- not a lot of wingersizing. Today our little guy was up and away early in the morning. I am so glad with the outcomes thus far. Crossing my fingers that good things continue.  Love the names and reasons for the choice. ;D :)

A lot has happened today!

I like the names, and am happy that two successful flights happened following Tenzing's fledge.

It would be nice if he could have a meal and a nap before trying to rejoin Hilary at the nestledge.

Stay, little birdie, stay!

I just got a chance to properly read the story of the names and I love it!  Very appropriate for this year.  :)
Yes, terrific!  Thank you

Tenzing's getting antsy again - wings are out and a little flutters across the ramp roof ... he's drooping his wings so hopefully he's still a wee bit tired and will make a wise choice and stay where he is ... at the moment he's under a slight overhang so out of the wind almost entirely but still visible with the cameras ...

Hillary is off the ledge edge and back on the roof - looks like she may be settling down in the cool corner where the shade is forming ... might be the remains of a meal there ...

Princess just left the ledge then cam back after a little fly around ... she's off again now.  I suspect the first flight was to see if she could see Tenzing because she was lower than the ledge.  Could be she's about to make a food drop to him ...

Tenzing is still on the ramp roof and he looks to be more sheltered than Hillary.  Almost seen her flipped a couple of times, he looks like he is pretty much out of the wind entirely.

Wind gusts at the U of Wpg were clocked at 43km/h within the last hour ...

There was no vote because they were not banded.  They were only named because some of the posters were asking for them to be named.  Once they have both fledged, I assume it will be hard to tell who is who unless they are together and the different sizes can be seen.

That is exactly right Jazzer.  If one of the birds should be grounded we will band them then but if they don't, almost no way to tell who's who unless we were to get a genetic testing done.  But then, who knows what the future might hold!!  Brave new world folks  ;) ;D

I missed the chance to vote on the names?  I guess that's what I get for spending my summer, basically out of touch with minimal internet connections.   :'( ::)

As far as I know there was not vote this time.  TPC just named them.
