Ivy's in the nestbox doing his usual post-nesting-season scraping in the gravel and standing around looking for Princess.  Its like the spring all over again, well almost, he's not quite so frantic about it all like he is in the spring but he is just as dedicated.

On the east side of the building, Hillary is still hanging out the cool corner.  She just got up after napping lying down on the edge.  Funny how a week ago we would have been begging her not to sit on the edge, now her lying down with her eyes closed are just not as scary.

Hillary has been alone all morning, no repeat (that I could see) of Tenzing's visit yesterday morning .. also haven't seen a meal drop but I think there was one before the light cam up enough to be sure.  At the moment Hillary is on the edge in the cool corner (south end of the ledge) and appears to be napping a bit in the wind blowing against her breast ...

Day - Partly cloudy. High of 25C. Breezy. Winds from the North at 15 to 20 km/h.
Night - Partly cloudy. Low of 16C. Winds from the NE at 10 to 15 km/h.

Light has gone downtown, Ivy is still on the nestbox and Hillary just hopped down off the ledge edge onto the ledge proper.

Hillary is lying down on the ledge near the point.  By the way she is sitting, it almost looks as though she can see over the wall.  Ivy is perched on the edge of the nestbox - makes me wonder if Tenzing will turn up there soon

Hillary is still on the nestledge - winds are coming up on the west side of the Hotel, the skycam is shaking a bit, but ledge cam and ledge look pretty protected.  If one of the adults comes in now with a meal, if Tenzing is around and hungry, he shouldn't have much trouble getting back so long as he can maintain altitude.

Hillary is still on the ledge - she's lying down just to the left of the drain cover next to the wall.  She's all brown now and without downy feathers hard to spot in the shade.

Woooeeee!!!! - Hillary just had a MEGA Wingersize session!!!  :o Thought she was going to go - she must be hot & tired after that!! Rest up a bit girl before taking the leap!  8)

We lost track of Hurricane almost from her first fledge and she did pretty well too  :)

WE lost track of our young guy last year after day 5 but I kept the faith because I remember you told me you lost track o f Radisson after day 4 of fledge and look where she is now .

Would be nice but at this point, he's on day 3 off the ledge and from his return just before 0700h this morning, failed though it was, looks like he is doing well so far.  Couple more days and he's probably safely out of the newly fledged woods and we just have to hope he doesn't start doing risky things too fast.  The few extra days on the ledge certainly helped!

Weather looks pretty good for Tenzing's building hopping today ...

Day - Clear. High of 30C. Winds from the NE at 5 to 15 km/h.
Night - Clear in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm and rain. Low of 18C. Breezy. Winds from the SSE at 10 to 20 km/h shifting to the North after midnight.


The wind is sitting at less than 5 km/h at the moment with occasional gust around 15km/h.  If it sticks like this, it should be a decent day.  Tomorrow is suppose to be breezier, so if Hillary wants to go, today might not be too bad or if she wants to wait until Monday, forecast says winds will be <5km/h again but a bit rainy.  We'll just have to see ....
