Someone on the east "R" having a bit of a nosh.......
Saw the same around 2:20 - nasty wind, too!
Checked around the West Nest right after - no sign of anybirdy - but couldn't see into the nest and it was very windy!
Warm sunny weather needed!

TPC, can we expect to see a phemale phalcon phight? ???  ???

My fingers are firmly crossed, hoping nothing like that has to happen! I know it's nature's way but I'm hoping the situation will resolve itself in a way that leaves both Princess and Sandy unharmed.

:-*   Thank you, Saorise for bringing me up to par for what could, in fact, happen. We definitely need more nestboxes. Winnipeg is fast becoming a falcon magnet city.  :)

Not so simple as just more nestboxes, need to have them far enough away that they don't conflict and have all the necessary features.  We hope to be able to resurrect a box in south Winnipeg but its a case of waiting for renovations to be complete.  And keep in mind that until two years ago, there was only one pair in Winnipeg, the West Winnipeg site is new.

.... and I will be able to tell if the bird I'm watching in West Winnipeg is Sandy or if someone new is home ....

Hmm... I thought Sandy was hanging out downtown at the Radisson. So are you saying she's hanging out, in and around the West Winnipeg nestbox. ???

This is so exciting and yet it is so scary.
I know it is nature and we have no control over it but I just pray no bird gets hurt or worse if there is any type of a territorial battle.

Unfortunately we are having a connection problem to the Radisson cams, might be the damp.
Hopefully we will have an image later ... and I will be able to tell if the bird I'm watching in West Winnipeg is Sandy or if someone new is home ....

both of you take such nice pictures.....wish I could do the same!! Dennis it looks like you are right there in mid air snapping those photos as they are so clear and up close and personal. Too much fog as yet today to see most of the Radisson.
