Just spoke with Kinderchick who was on her way home.  She spent the better part of the morning downtown and when she left, Cade was still safe and sound on the Free Press building.  It's getting hot, so he and his sister will likely stay put until this evening when the cooler temps might encourage them to do some moving.  Hopefully, Miss Bea will limit her moving to wingercizing and maybe some ledge exploring ;)

 ??? Are there any further updates today about Carson and Cade? Beatrix looks very laid back at this time, but that could change at any moment. ::)

No I don't believe Bea is at that stage yet but it is something to watch out for if she drags her "buns".

Was there an adult just in the nestbox a few minutes ago?  Somebird flew off and landed on the Rogers Tower.  Princess (I think) is on the Rad tower.

I don't think we're at that stage yet, though, are we? I've been thinking that it's still a bit soon for her -- she's bigger than the boys, and another day or so to exercise her wings would increase her odds of a successful first flight.

If she doesn't go on her own instincts the parents will probably tease her out with food.  They won't deliver and she will have to go to them.  Doesn't seem like that has happened yet.  As long as they bring her food she will work it out on her own good time.  Saw that happen before (last year or year before).  Bea seems to be enjoying that box edge all to herself.  She probably sees Cade and her parents as well!

I saw her on the ledge last night, a while after Cade fledged. She didn't venture far, stuck close beside the box. I hope she decides to stay earthbound for another couple of days!

Thanks to everyone for all the updates.  Keep 'em coming!  Those of us stuck behind a desk all day live for the updates!  :)  I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to check in from work deedream but I can't stay away!
