...or obey the call of instinct and start his trip south.  Carson may not stick around much longer if this weather continues.

So glad to hear that Carson is still around, but I wonder why he doesn't take shelter inside the nestbox? :-\

Carson is one poor miserable little birdie - now perched on the nestbox and he is well and truly soaked through ... and I'm not positive, but I think its starting to snow or sleet or the rain drops are huge and opaque ... insult to injury (or rather drenching) ...

Ivy just took off so had a little roam with the camera and one of the kids, I think perhaps Carson, is on the sign below the nestledge.  Soaking wet poor wee thing ...

Pouring rain in Winnipeg, lone birdie (Ivy) on the nestbox.  Usually he goes inside to get out of the rain, but not today, he's perched all by himself, mostly in the shadow of the building though the wind is fluffing him up a bit ...

Manitoba Hydro has some working going on on the east side of the building at the moment - there are lines hanging down from the roof, so I'm going to assume they are cleaning the windows though I can't see the lift at all ...

One of the kids came by the nestbox for a visit for about an hour this morning (1030-1125).  Couldn't get an ID but I think it was one of the boys just by the streamlined shape, but Beatrix isn't big so .... will keep an eye on the site just in case they come back for another visit today ...

Carson was confirmed to be around and in the box last week and checking out the head patterns, I think today's visitor was Carson but am going to go and check the other kids' "heads" ...

As an FYI - the tape is still on Carson's leg band so it is probably on Beatrix's and Cade's if anyone manages to get a look at their feet with binos or a camera.

...yesterday at 3 did I ever have a show of three. I was waiting for the bus at MTS and 3 of them were having a great time playing...
That's wonderful to hear, Mother Hen. :D Both you and bccs have spotted all 3 juvies in the downtown, once again. As bev has indicated, it won't be long now till they move on to warmer climates. Nothing quite like watching them sore in the wind! 8)

I am so happy to read all the reports and see all is well here. I am happy for you , that you have had some sightings of your youngsters.

soon all will be quiet.I always find that eerie.

I may not have said much this year but i always check in here and read.

Safe travels to all our migrating birds.  :-*

I have been looking up for weeks and no luck....the odd time I see a bird sitting on the East nest ledge early in the morning. BUT yesterday at 3 did I ever have a show of three. I was waiting for the bus at MTS and 3 of them were having a great time playing. One was sitting on the nest speaking to the other two flying around and around the Radisson.....Boy I bet is was Bea anyways she was loud.It was so windy but they were soaring and landing and up again for the 10 mintues that I was there. they were having a blast. they must like it when it windy  like it was.....what a site to be had. I am so lucky to be this close to them.

I haven't seen the falcons for a few weeks now, but today was my lucky day.
At 9 am, one on the nest ledge, I think it was Princess.

When I left work today, I heard the familiar sound of young falcons. I had to look around a bit and finally found them on the south side of The Radisson on the ledge where the louvers are.
At first I could only see two, but as I moved farther back, I saw the third. All three juveniles nice as can be.

It's so very windy here and being downtown only makes it worse with the wind gusting around the tall buildings.

So it looks as if the youngsters did inherit some of their parents brains, as where they are is the most sheltered spot they could possibly be.

:o OMG! Thank you so very much, bccs, for sharing your siting of our Royals.  :-* With today's wind, it is wonderful to hear that they have not been blown to "Kansas". I could almost hear them say, "Auntie Em, Auntie Em". LOL
