Radisson - 2011 / Ivy & Princess

  My husband and I were downtown Sunday for the Josh Groban concert (incredible 5+ stars). We were hoping to see our Royals, no luck! Thanks to all for your current posts of your sitings.

5 September

One of the boys (Carson I believe) turned up on the south end of the nestledge to eat prey left there two/three days ago just before1600h.
Ivy turned up about 1730h to finish off the meal right in front of the nestledge cam.

1:30 p.m. I spied Princess (at least I think it was Princess - big bird anyway) circling over the Hydro building. Then all of a sudden she tucked back her wings and went into a full aerial assault, going east. I lost her behind the buildings, but when I got to Portage, I caught her again coming west from the Radisson. Nothing in her talons though. Maybe she was just blowing the dust off, or had a lust for speed.   She then flew over to the Air Canada building where she met up with someone. I was too far away to be able to tell whether it was Ivy or one of the kids. I hadn't seen them for a while so was pleased to today.

Out enjoying the cool evening on the balcony and what did I see??

3 young birdies playing tag over the Assinsiboine river for about 45 seconds.
They all took off for the south after that, but, wow, lucky me!

It was grand to watch them.

Oh, yes folks, I got to be somewhat part of that event!  I was on the other line when she saw this.....I think I was in the middle of speaking and well, needless to write, she didn't pay attention to me.  As it should be, peregrine falcons were paying a visit!!!!

Monday night around 6:30 pm. Ivy came in and did the chick walk down the ledge then took to flight !
Princess came in and checked out the nest box for some time then sat on the edge for some time and then took to flight !
Nice to see both around.

I just drove up Portage, someone rather Peregriney looking, sitting on the E of the Rogers building (facing Portage). I luckily didn't drive of the road or into anyone!
