I have no problem with naming the chicks.

I can see if I can find out the sexes, but they kind of looked like two males and one female based on size, but at this age I would say it is really more of a guess.  If it really matters to everyone what their genders are I can see about finding out (no guarantees) or you can go with my guess-timate.

Our feathered friend were out late night and were not home early this morning but are there now.Sure is cool to see them circle way up.....Tracy, do Peregrines mate for life?? I tell people around me when I see them so more people that know the better off they will be......the people that is. I am sure some people think I am a bit off my rocker.  Later folks

I meant to reply to that Loriann and I think it's a good idea to give the chicks names.  My p icks would be Ariel, Elijah and Trgiaob.

Almost walked into a wall today walking to work, as I could see both Trey & Princess soaring/circling above the hotel and wasn't paying attention to my immediate surroundings.  Sheila (co-worker) saw them doing the same thing this afternoon - btw, Sheila is absolutely convinced that "things are happening".........

I saw Trey and Princess doing the same thing last year.  It was exciting to see them hanging on the air, over the Radisson, barely moving.  I pointed them out to two foot patrolers as they were walking by and they said they hadn't heard about P & T before.  They were thrilled to see it!

I posted this once before.. but didn't see any kind of response. so here it is again.

Slightly off.. and sorry if this upsets anyone all over again,,, but how do 'we' all feel about naming the first three babies?  Seems only right that they have names, seeing as they were with us and touched all of us right squarely in the heart.

Tracy?  any thoughts?  Would you be open to suggestions?

If I may : seeing as we do not know the sex of the babies, (perhaps Tracy does) most of these are either/or for both.

I too stare up at the hotel, from the bus stop at Graham and Donald.  It always surprises me that I'm the only one!    Wake up people -- there's exciting stuff happening overhead!!! 

I stare up as I ride my bike into and away from work.  Adds a little more excitement to an already fun ride dealing with Winnipeg drivers!  No luck spotting P&T yet though.

Nice long informative blog today - Tracy has been busy!!!  I too was walking eyes to the sky yesterday, trying to catch a glimpse of our birds. Never seem to be able to though!! - anyway I realized I musta looked kinda weird as there were a few funny looks when my eyes finally returned to earth.....sheesh, it's hard to imagine that most people don't even KNOW that P&T are up there somewhere!!!

There we go, Pam's just given proof that it would be too 'dangerous' for me to be able to live in Winnipeg -- and not just dangerous for time management, but personal safety too!  Take care, Pam! We don't want to hear of any accidents or loss of prime Peregrine watchers who have a birds-eye view of things (especially if you and a co worker think 'things are happening!' -- this could get better than a soap opera!
