Just had some thunder and heavy rain here in Westwood. I'd be happy if it stopped so I can get downtown. Might be a tad difficult to manage umbrella and binocs at the same time. Always knew I neded three hands. 

Ya still coming Sami? If you do, on the north side of Portage, across from the MTS centre about mid block, the is an alcoved doorway. It provides really good shelter and you still have a good view of the nest box.

   And he's off (9:03 a.m. CST)....  He was sitting there and then opened his wings to "play" with the wind and whoosh.  Very cool!

That line of rain looks very intense now on the radar!

Boy it sure is pouring here just south of downtown.  You can tell that by the web cam.  That has not detered our boy (or could it be Trey?) from his perch on the vent.  At least he has the smarts to turn his back to the wind. Smarter yet sould be to get out of the rain.  Now that the cam has cleared I see that he took my advice and headed for shelter.  Is that him against the back wall?? Can't tell cause of the blur.

Iam constantly amazed how the falcons thrive in this weather. they seem to love that wind
Someone running below..I hope your rain moves out of there quicker than it is moving out of here. We are into day 4

Just got back, the ground crew say that the girl is still on the east side, in the nest box. They saw mum and dad and the boys flying around so all is well. Not really raining right now, but still a bit gusty and cool.

 Thanks for the photos especially Dennis' of Tracy and Vesper (gotta start using little sis' proper name).  She didn't look any to happy with you Tracy...sure gave you what for.

..more than "what for"...when I saw the pic, the first thing that popped into my head was "Wow, such 'fowl' language for such a little girl  -  where did she learn that!!"  (I suspect Trey, muttering under his breath while doing nest cleaning duty...)
