0900h - meal - could have been one dawn/pre-dawn but the water either from the roof or pouring down obscured the camera's view
Hurricane has been with the chicks about half the time, chicks on their own the other half of the time. They are/have been a bit damp but at this age and in this nestbox they should be fine - suspect Hurricane isn't there so much to keep them dry but rather to keep them a bit warmer - the wind shouldn't be a big problem in the nestbox according to the forecast (NW winds - box is open to the north and the east) but the high for today is only 16C - so wet and a bit cooler than it was yesterday (high yesterday at the Brandon airport was 25C) - not cool enough to cause a problem but Hurricane and Brooklyn can give the chicks a bit more warmth and they may decide to do so.
