After taking Rose home I drove by the McKenzie building again because I can't help myself.  ::)  :D   Hurricane and Brooklyn were flying around yelling at the workmen on the communications tower.  I noticed that when they had no eggs they were not at all interested in people being on the communications tower. They sort of settled down before I left, but the men were still on the tower.

Brooklyn

Hurricane

Bccs was here on business this morning so Rose and I went for breakfast with her, it was nice seeing her.  :)   We went to the parkade and didn't see any falcons.  :(  When we drove down 10th street we saw a falcon perched and eating on the west side of the McKenzie roof, so we stopped to look.  ;D 8)  After bccs left, we went around to the east side and Hurricane was having brunch, then she flew over to the communications tower and perched.

Hurricane and Brooklyn were cute to watch at shift change at 0525h today.  She was on as she usually is overnight, then she took off, he turned up and looked around, parked himself on the eggs for a couple of minutes then she came back, initially not to get on the eggs, then he left, she moved in.  After about a minute she was off again and he turned up a few minutes later and parked himself on the eggs again.  Then he got off to check something (her I think) and then back on the eggs again.

Its 0837h now and Hurricane has taken over from Brooklyn again ...

This is about the Brandon Peregrines at the McKenzie building, from a local publication "Westman Journal".

http://www.westmanjournal.com/article/20120507/BRANDON0101/120509994/-1/brandon/brandon-falcons-nesting-again

Reading through the article I see some of the information is not correct.  It says Zeus is Brooklyn's father when in fact he is his uncle.  Keener-Screech was Brooklyn's father.

You are correct RCF but the reporter talked to me for a very long time and had lots (and lots) of questions and given the family trees in this province  :o, uncle, father, not such a huge faux-pas!  The rest of the article looks great and it's nice to have more coverage for Hurricane and Brooklyn!!  ;D

Very True!!

Very good Article and photos, best one that I've seen this year. :)

We submitted both the photos - the webcam capture doesn't look half bad and of course Dennis' photos never look "bad"  ;D
