Last egg can be up to 72 hours after the previous egg but that pertains more to the start of incubation rather than the actual laying of the egg since incubation usually starts with the penultimate egg. What that means is that Hurricane and Brooklyn are probably just going to have three eggs this year as the 72 hour window is closing. Now is this window hard and fast, no, stranger things have happened, but on average this is the pattern and our birds are 9 times out of 10, pretty average birds when it comes to laying and incubating eggs. So bit longer and we'll know for sure.
So far this morning, Hurricane was "on" overnight, Brooklyn was on for a couple of hours at first change, then they started spelling off after relatively short periods, then the morning sun really warmed up the nestbox and Brooklyn was able to take a bit of time on the box edge preening in the sun and the eggs got to watch the outside world for a bit.
I've changed the camera angle while the sun is out so folks can see the box from a different angle and get a sense of the amount of cover the new roof provides as the sun swings around. There is a a fish-eye on this lens so there is a bit of distortion with size at distance but you can see that the birds have more room than is immediately apparent with the windowcam.
