This is about the Brandon Peregrines at the McKenzie building, from a local publication "Westman Journal".

Any news about Rosser and Rain? How are the little fellows doing?
See reply #4 March 6th 2012  in Ask the Peregrine Chick Re: Rain and Rosser. One transmitter cut out about a week or so into migration October 2011 (In Arkansas). The other cut out sometime in February 2012 (In southern Texas).

Oh yes, I agree with you, Ballywing. We will be very entertained. But poor Hurricane, she must be bushed, being so little and keeping that last egg for so long  :P

Another egg!! - Wow, Hurricane knew exactly what she was doing, staying off those eggs so much - hopefully there's not too much time between first & last chick when they hatch - and a nice space between Brandon & Radisson this year, we'll be able to watch the different growth phases twice!   :D

Our boy is lying flat in the nestbox to get out of the wind ... haven't seen a peregrine that flat since Trey was trying to keep out of the wind in 2008 on the nestledge at the Radisson (the tuppernest walls helped in 2009).

Nice few days for Brooklyn & Hurricane - and the wind is suppose to die down some this afternoon ...

Today - Clearing this morning. Wind northeast 20 km/h becoming light late this afternoon. High 15. UV index 6 or high. Tonight - Clear. Low plus 3.
Wednesday - Sunny. Wind becoming southwest 30 km/h in the morning then light late in the evening. High 21.
Thursday - A mix of sun and cloud. Low 10. High 23.
Friday - A mix of sun and cloud. Low zero. High 12.
Saturday - Sunny. Low plus 3. High 16.
Sunday - Sunny. Low plus 5. High 22.
Monday - Sunny. Low 7. High 23.

:) Well after much shuffling around and plumping and egg scootin here and there, looks like the little mama is all settled for the night.  Rest easy Hurricane because once your chickees are here, there is no rest for you!!!  Good night.
Just as a way of interest, my greatgrandfather helped to build the McKenzie Seed building.  I wonder what he would think of these happenings on the roof!! :)

9 days between eggs, that's a long time to be egg-bound.  No wonder Hurricane was so unwilling to get down to incubation.  Will probably mean that we are looking at a hatch about June 5th to 7th - so a one month gap between our first two nests (West Winnipeg will be about a week before Brandon I suspect)

At the Cleveland Terminal Tower nest this year, the female (SW) laid 2 eggs, waited 5 days, then laid 2 more.  :o
