Took me a couple days to turn the Elk River site back on. Just couldn't face it really. Saw them last night for a bit - They sure are getting BIG!!!!!  But like others have said - it's just not the same as watching 'OUR' birds. As much as I agree with Deedreem about 'Don't know if my ole heart can take going tru this again this year' - I still hope they do try again. And if they do - I REALLY hope they have an easier time of the whole process this time!!!  - Very happy to hear how many times they've been sighted. !!

Hi everyone. Oh it is so exciting to hear news of our Trey and Princess!  I am so pleased they are still hangin out and from your reports doing okay.  I don't want to get excited thinking that they are getting ready to mate, renest, etc, but my, my, I sure am wondering!!  Don't know if my ole heart can take going tru this again this year! Then again I would be going nuts wondering what I was missing so I will be checking in regularly.  I still can't get the nerve  up to watch any other cams yet.  Tried to watch Elk River, but those chicks keep stumbling around the ledge and I keep thinking someone is going to fall out, and I would be scared to watch so just had to turn it off!  I wished CBC would change that picture on the webcam site, its the worst picture of all.  Its already permanently embedded in my brain from the day I was watching it live and i dont need to be reminded of it. 

In other news, New Brunswick is having a great day for weather, after all the hot, humid, rain, thunderstorms and tornado watches of the last two days. Set a record in Fredericton on Sunday.  Think yesterday was as well.  Heard there was some damage from wind, (not confirmed tornados) but no one injured.  Still quite humid and its up to 29C but nice breezes now and the sky is a bit bluer.  Enjoyed reading all the posts from yesterday and today, glad others are still hangin in here!

Just wanted to report that I did see both P and T at the concert last night!  Well, from the concert anyway...  I was standing near a window in the MTS Centre (arena) with some friends and realized that the Radisson was nicely visable outside the window from where we were so of course I was looking up and there was a bird sitting on the nestbox.  It looked so small, but then it took off and I got a good look at the wingspan.  It moved to the 'n' on the Radisson sign and then I'm pretty sure I saw the other sitting on the nestbox.

Of course there were a few people who wanted to know what the heck I was staring up at, so I had to explain it to them, lol.

Mother Hen, just to clarify... you saw Princess standing on the nest box or nest ledge? I know you said nest box in an earlier post...

Yeah yeah sure Mother Hen, with a name like Mother hen  You just want to make sure everyone is all happy, be it birds or humans.  Personally the Birds are much more fascianting to watch and boy do I envy you. So your co-workers and boss have no problem with you taking a few seconds to spy on the birds with the binoculars?

If I could set up a camera I certainly would. Boss, NOT ME! I sit next to a window and just have to look that way and see the Radisson.....so not my fault!!!!!!! I have been sitting by a window for years and look for the flacons as I knew they nested on the Radisson so brought in the spy glasses......and to see if I can spot anything interesting in the bedroom windows!!!   Just kidding! Just the birds.Just the birds Honest!!

Mother Hen, I for one am hoping, just knowing that Princess has been hanging around the nestbox is encouraging but I am not getting my hopes up to high, not until if and when they renest dare I hope beyond that. Just glad to know that they are still sticking to their territory.  So tell us are you the boss in your office and that's why you have binoculars and not been fired? LOL
