1720 hrs (local) - the rain is back, not heavy but enough to make the gravel wet again and to tick Princess off again. I think I know know what the biting is all about - its peregrinese for "Pigeon, pigeon, pigeon, its raining AGAIN. The minute I get back on these eggs, it rains. Does the rockstar get wet, Nooooooo. Tercels, bah, tercels."
There are drops falling in front of the camera's environmental housing but remember, the camera is 30+ feet away horizontally and about 20 feet above the nest ledge. The camera is zoomed right in, so when you see the "rain", that's not what's hitting the ledge, chances are its what is running down the edge of the building since the camera is right against the Hotel to increase stabilization. When the chicks get larger, we will zoom out again so you won't miss a moment of their hijinx.
