We've banded here a couple of times and at this same age and we aren't anticipating any problems. As for catchers, we have had folks stationed but never been tested which is a good thing because I'm not sure how successful folks would be catching a 1+ lb of screaming, taloned peregrine chick at the bottom of a 14 storey drop. For that reason, we'll be working to keep them on the ledge during the banding, not so difficult once we catch them because we put them in buckets for everyone's safety. Besides, they've never seen a human, so they don't have a game plan ... yet ...
