WOW!  What a great shot of the feeding!  Thanks to whoever is moving the canera around, it's such a treat to see a feeding this close up!

bccs -- how wonderful that you can see the peregrines "in person", although I have no idea how you can get any work done. I'm in Winnipeg, too, but too far along Portage even to see them flying around in search of prey. If I could see them from the window, I'd never keep my job!
I have a very understanding boss luckily.  :)And I more than make up the time spent bird watching during the rest of the year. It all evens out in the end.
Ain't I the lucky one ;D

What a wonderful close-up of 2 of the chicks while the camera was re-adjusted!  They have beautiful face markings.  Great early morning treat.  If the banding is done today, will it be early or later?  I'd hate to miss it.

I've been reading everyone's posts and appreciate the updates!   . . . and this is my first post.

I remember when the chicks were on the west side, the parents would provide shade from the sun, as well a funnel a breeze towards them with their wings.

Why is this not happening this time?  Is it not hot enough (like it gets on the west side)?

Thanks in advance for your response.

 ;D

Definitly Trey, Saoirse, way to go. I can see him from my office window, live and in person. He hangs out there a lot in the am. No tanning for them today however, prediction of rain.

Doublechecked the Photo Gallery and, yes, it is Trey standing guard. As for the chicks, it doesn't seem possible but I'm sure they have new dark feathers since last night.

8:10 am Winnipeg time and now there's a parent standing guard -- Trey, maybe? The three are moving around a bit but more asleep than awake. It's overcast, so it should feel a bit cooler to them today.

Good morning everyone.  Missed breakfast.  Our three chicks are now south of the nest box...two are sleeping...one still awake having a look. No sign of either parent although I'm sure they're not far.  Have a good day.  I'll check in after work. :)

Morning everybody! There is not alot going on, no trey or Princess right now but I can see the chicks stirring in the top corner getting ready for the day.
Time to go to work although I think I would prefer watching all the chicks all day.
have a great day :)

Banding date/time dependent on weather - need it to be dry and virtually windless before we can go "up".  As soon as I have dates/times, I will post here, and on the blog and send via e-updates to everyone on my lists.

At the moment, could the morning of Thursday or Friday or Sunday or Monday.

Will keep you all in the loop!

And about the Kinderchicklet CBC Story, no worries, there is a new topic and no one really got "off" topic here.  I'll definitely be watching tomorrow night!!
