Today, I got a phone call from Dennis wondering if he could get access to the roof to check it out for the banding. My superiors agreed to this weeks ago and permission was given for any amount of visits, at any time.
Needless to say, I said sure and there he was 5 minutes later. Up we went and I had a wonderful 2 hours with him. The falcons were very quiet for the first half hour or so, Trey sitting on the R and Princess nowhere to be spotted. But then the fun began.
Along swoops the lady, she starts to hunt and I saw my first stoop. No words for that guys.
She circled around for a bit, landed on another bldg, and proceeded to " prepare " the meal for the kids. Over she came and fed them. Trey continued to look at the wall.
When the meal was over, she hopped up onto the ledge, faced us, and proceeded to yell her head off, not sure if it was at us or Trey. If it was at him, he wasn't taking any notice of it. I sure did though. Man, was she loud
This lasted for about 10 minutes, then she jumped off the ledge and did 3 or 4 very low, very slow fly bys right over our heads. Very small circles. She was checking us out, or she was flirting with Dennis
. And then off she goes to kill and murder again.
When she left, Trey roused himself enough to fly one block away to another building. And then he just perched and watched the world go by.
Dennis took sooooo many pictures, which I hope he will share.
So that's what happened to me today. Wow, thanks Dennis.
