It's feeding time now.  It looks like three chicks are greedily munching away near the front (sunny side) of the nest box while the fourth one is hanging back near the back of the nest box.

Chicks 1-3 are lying on top of chick 4 (yes, I opened up the pile to check).

All looked fine, sleepy, but fine.  They all looked to be about the same size but that will change in the next couple of weeks.  Development is what I would expect for one week old chicks.

And the dark blog beside the rightmost chick's head?  A soft new pellet (aka peregrine hairball).  I removed it as it seemed an affront to the poor little tot's dignity.

Princess and Ivy were not impressed.

NOTE FROM CBC MANITOBA:

The FalconCam apparently is not the only CBC interactive media item that is down - so too are all their videos, traffic cams, online music, etc ... according to my contact in Winnipeg, the problem lies in one (or more) of the servers in Toronto and everyone web/tech related is working on it.  Even the comment section on the FalconCam page is down!

New nestbox cam (thanks Larry!) is up and operating perfectly so when the server is back up and running everyone will be able to see the chicks once again.

Smart little chicks have all moved into the shade.

Lots of movement within that chickpile... up, down little heads held high for 10 to 15 seconds at last look.- the sun is just starting to reach them.  No parent about right now.

I was actually getting some work done... very cute... lots of movement.... no one in the nest with them right now!!

I noticed the eggshells are gone.... did somebody clean house?? TPC??

Princess now keeping watch on the ledge of the box while the chick pile sleeps off the midday meal. She's come back in to check on them and tidy up the box a couple of times.
