Beautiful closeup of the chick pile TPC  :-*
Ditto! ;D

Paging new fathers, all children need to be in one location - makes it easier to find and feed them!
Okay, now this should be interesting! Back over to the other side, little one, if you want a bite to eat! ;)

That one is motoring a lot!  More like butt scoot, as he/she finally got to the food handout.  Then mistakenly back to the sun before drunkenly turning around and making the way back to the pile.

Now this is the view we were all waiting for!

Thank you, Eyespy.

I just logged in to see four little fluff-balls on the nest box cam!  Thanks TPC and Eye-spy!  I loved the close up too; they're so cute!  I haven't seen any of the chicks do their 'step-flop' yet, so I can't wait to see the one chick rejoin its siblings!

The little one sitting in the shade of the wall tried to get back the other way but doesn't quite know how! His big long wings dragged a bit, than he just sat back down in the shade.

Am waiting for his to drag, stomp, fall his way back. One of them in the corner is very active and interested in things around him.

1700 hrs (local) - Ivy's learned alot but sometimes he really shows his age - he has one (or two) chick(s) under him, one (or two) chick(s) are in the back corner in front of him and one chick is behind him.  Paging new fathers, all children need to be in one location - makes it easier to find and feed them!

Thanks eye-spy for reviving the nest cam.
Enjoyed the photos, too.
chick pile indeed!  TPC I love your description "Princess and Ivy were not impressed" (when you checked the chickpile).  What did that look and sound like?

The outer nest box will form a great measuring/growth chart for us to see how fast they are growing.  And what was that phrase someone came up with for their walking last year?  stepflop...??
It was a good one.

1645 hrs (local) - one of our chicks is a bit of an adventurer ... all the chicks went to the front of the box for food and then 3 wandered back undercover shortly thereafter.  Chick 4 had a little relax/relapse in the shade at the front of the box and now appears be working his/her way back under cover.  Not moving quickly but moving in the right direction for the moment.  All the rest of the kids are inside in the far back corner and Ivy is hanging out with them at the moment.

First time I have ever seen both parents feeding the chicks at the same time ... wonderful !!

These two have been doing it alot actually, not something one saw much with Princess and Trey over the years.  And it is kinda cute to watch!
