Its a very warm first Father's Day for Ivy!

  As I said in my opening post this morning, "Happy Father's Day, Ivy". I have been unable to see Princess today, but today "is Father's day", and those in the know, realize it IS up to Mom to bring home that special meal for Dad and the kids. LOL   To you TPC, Dennis, Larry, Dr. Bob and those who are right there with our Radisson Royals, "Happy Day, everyday". Good night to all.

Did anyone else see one of the chicks jump up on the ledge?  I'm not sure if that's what I saw, maybe they were just wingercising...

HAPPY FIRST FATHER'S DAY, IVY!

1214 hrs (local) - Three out, one in.  Inside one is napping.  Outside ones are preening big time.  Lots more flight feathers showing, think this might (just might) be a year for earlier fledges than last despite having two girls in the bunch.  One chick is bigger than the others at this stage, however, its also the one with the most flight feathers showing ... odd that.  The others aren't far behind, but its noticeable how much dark this one has amid the white ...

  I as well just logged on just as the chicks were stretching. OMG! The flight feathers are so visible. Their tail feathers knock each other off balance. Can we expect them soon to start plucking their white fluff off soon?

Please let us know about any upcoming fledge watches.  I like the early morning ones, but need to get used to getting up so much earlier - so difficult being retired.

I've noticed all those dark feathers as well and wondered about how close they are to fledging.  I can't remember, TPC, if it's the girls who fledge first because they're bigger and stronger or if it's the boys becasue they don't have as much weight to get aloft...

  I see the chicks are in a resting mode. After the last couple of days in their wind tunnel, they certainly deserve it. I haven't seen Princess or Ivy today. Although when one does arrive, you wouldn't be able to see them anyway when the chicks stand up as a group.
