Weather forecast for tonight:

Cloudy periods. 30 percent chance of showers early this evening with risk of a thunderstorm. Clearing this evening. Wind southwest 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. Low 13.

If it rains, guess we'll see who comes back to get undercover to keep dry ...

1750 hrs (local) - Aura is snoozing and preening in front of the ledgecam, been there for the last couple of hours.  Haven't seen any wingercizing or any of her sibs ....
I think Aura is special....she seems to be content just hangin' around.   ;D

Thanks, EyeSpy! I am in complete agreement seeing what TPC posted on the site below the webcam screen, you are truly, our unsung hero for allowing us such incredible cam views. Not to mention, risking your sense of smell to clean the (OK, I'll say it) crap off the cam lens.  :P How do you you manage, a clothespin on you nose or what? LOL  With sincere thanks from all, GCG  :)  :-*

And here she is. Guessing ES switched cams for a few minutes.  Think someone inherited Ivy's "laid back" genes. ;D

You are welcome  ;D

Thanks Tracy.

I noticed that Loki has more gold in his feathers than his parents appear to.  Is this because he's still young, because he's wet, or is it usual for peregrines to have unique colorings?

Adult peregrines are dark slate grey and white with black speckles on their breast & belly.  Juvenile peregrines are dark brown instead of grey and gold instead of white with dark brown vertical stripes on their breast & belly.  The juvenile birds will lose most if not all of their juvenile plumage by spring next year.

Now cam is back on the nestbox.

Ivy dropped by for a bit....looked like he was considering ordering a maid from front desk to clean the mess the teenagers left in the nest box. ;D

Cheers !

Great pics Dennis, thanks!

Thanks again,

I got to see me first 'real life' view of the chicks today.  I went past the Radisson during my coffee break this morning to see two chicks flying about.  I don't have binoculars so I don't know who I saw, but it was still cool all the same.  I also heard them 'talking' to each other.  I never thought of them as noisy birds (not having sound on the cam and all).

We ran into a couple people who asked what we were looking at.  We ended up standing in a bit of a crowd.  One man said that all the chicks had fledged already (what is with people saying that to me lately?) Anyways, I just wanted to verify (again) that Aura still hasn't fledged.

Thanks,
KDR33

Such a clear view. Thanks Eye-spy for cleaning the lens.
Now do you think you could get Aura back in the nest box.   :)
I am sure she and maybe some of siblings will return soon and it will be so nice to have a clear clean view.
