What's going on at the ledge? We've had 2 downpours in the last half hour - I'm afraid to look at the cam.  :'( :'( :'(

Ledge looks fine: damp, but not soaked. No visible puddles at the moment. Princess was asleep/eyes closed, now she has opened her eyes. She hasn't moved at all.

Way to go Princess.  You're doing great.  Nature is letting you have it today.  I'm watching and hoping for the best  :-\

Princess gave a huge head shake, then seemed to call out.
Maybe it's time for her break?

Eyelids now dozing, perhaps she was merely cursing to herself.
%#& rain!

Wishing there was a "like" button  ;)

I'm just hoping that the 'WET' doesn't soak the chick/eggs from underneath - if it would just STOP FOR A BIT we might at least see how they're doing! Not that I'm looking at the cam, just can't watch til things improve.  :-X

I usually can't see cam during the day either, but today I'm home, so I can watch poor, soaked Princess.  I'm so happy to have her back in Winnipeg this year, but part of me wishes that she'd stayed south, dry and care-free :-*

It is great to have it confirmed that the rate of rainfall has slowed down.  I thought that was likely the case since the puddles had gone away, but it's nice to know for sure.  And the fact that the puddles can disappear as quickly as they did is nice to know too......

What is it about Fridays and rain and this nestledge?  :-\ >:(

Don't let the foggy look on camera fool you, the rate of rainfall is 1/4 what it was two hours ago.  The Woodlands radar keeps going "out" but it looked like the worst may be over for awhile with a bit heavier rain about 1300h then it looked like we were going to out of it about 1500h ...

The puddles have been forming and draining all morning, probably depending on the rate of rainfall to the ledge. The first time I saw one, I panicked, but after watching for a while, I can see all is well (as well as a soaking wet birdie can be).

Puddles by Princess seem to be disipating.  Hoping that's the worst of the rain done and that the other three wait till it's done!  Poor girl looks like a sodden mass.  :'(

Rate of rainfall is dropping down by the University of Winnipeg (just down Portage Avenue from the Radisson for those of you from away) - we have had 14.2mm of rain so far today, forecast is "rainfall amounts near 18.8 mm possible".  We know the rain will be over before tonight, so as long as the birds get a break between deluges to feed chick everyone could be fine.  Tough way to spend your first 24-36 hours but if chick has a chance, it's with Princess - look at how well Hurricane turned out, and Ty and Radisson and Alley.  :D
