We are right on the darn trailing edge of this darn weather system ... rain is tapering off some and hopefully it will continue to do so ...

Quick check-in by Ivy, but Princess does not want to move.

Okay, I tried again and am now watching a very wet Princess who does seem to be panting?
Her strong breathing has been noticeable all day.

She has not moved an inch since the morning, not even to face the other direction or shuggle the eggs. (unless she moved when I went out for lunch :P )

I HATE THIS NEST LEDGE!!!!!!!! >:(

It's a good thing that I can't see peregrines totally in the wild, I'd get an ulcer.  :P

I just tried to access the cam and it said it was currently unavailable.  ???

I've read all the comments about Princess but is would have been reassuring to see her.

The puddle has gotten a lot bigger in the last ten minutes. Isn't it about time this rain stopped?

I think she'll have to use every ounce of her energy for sure, and if it would STOP raining and she can get dry before tonight, it would be great-  as it's going down to 7 degrees, which I imagine is a bit nippy if you're soaking wet.  :-[ - This mega rain happens every year, it's almost inevitable, I guess the only way the timing could have been worse for our Peregrines - was if there were 4 chicks and they were several days older, - Harder for Princess to protect. Sure hope our family is ok so far  :-\

Still raining, though doesn't look heavy from the occasional drops into the puddle, and I think the
puddle is getting smaller.

Princess' breathing exertion is visible.  She will be using lots of energy to generate heat underneath!

Trying not to!    ;) 8) - But I'm only about 1km away from the Radisson and it's raining so hard the drops are bouncing off the window - until that stops I"m going to be a wreck!  :-[

We have a visible puddle on the ledge now. But this puddle has been appearing and then draining all day, so hopefully it will disappear when the rain rate slows. Don't panic, Ballywing!
