I'm sure it won't be long before they figure out it's not very far to the roof below.  ;D

Here's video of Alison (hope the spelling is right) from conservation retrieving the chicks from the nest box.  She had to climb 30 feet up the ladder to get them.   :-X   :D

http://youtu.be/5tLW9F7VVco

She's lucky that the parents didn't get close to her, but good thing she had a belt on in case she fell or the parents got close to her.

Awesome video.  Safety harness is the new regulations for WCB, and insurance purposes.

Wonderful videos RCF. That was a great angle and really gives us a good idea of the location of the nest box.

The parents are stil alarm calling, poor birdies they have been disturbed three days in a row now.   ::)  Tomorrow is Saturday and nobody should be working over there and it's the long weekend, so hopefully they get a break.

The kids just got fed, but parent left abruptly and was alarm calling again. It was quiet for about 20 minutes, so it must have been coffee time for the workers across the street.  ::)    Looks like the bigger one has red tape and one has white tape on their leg........can't see the other one .  :)

Since nobody else has asked, I will... Do these beautiful blinged birds have names yet?
They don't have any names yet. They are basically known by their colors like the Winnipeg chicks where known after getting banded. I hope they have a contest for the names like they did with Winnipeg's chicks though.

Have Hurricane & Brooklyn returned to the chicks yet, have they been fed?  ???

Yes, Hurricane fed them a kildeer about 7:20pm that I saw, but I think they were fed earlier than that because it looked like some sort of birdie parts in the box.   :-\

They just got fed again around 9pm.

I seen at the beginning of the video that they were still trying to get the legs or the bones down that they couldn't when they got fed shortly after 7pm.
