Just standing at the bus stop and looked over at the Radisson and someone is sitting nice in the nest box.  They have been there for a good 10 minutes

You're most welcome.
Pam and I went for a walk around downtown today, but didn't see any peregrines.
It's a lot cooler today and the wind is gusting.

That would definitely be my vote, too! In your experience, TPC, which do you think is the most likely?  ???

They weren't back earlier than usual so its really just the weather that's the component that's different - don't know that its enough to get them hopping earlier though.  Sure didn't slow them down when there was still snow (or ice or blizzards or ice blizzards) in previous years.  Herself has been back for long and it will take at least two weeks of canoodling before she's got anything to lay, then up to a week to lay whatever she lays this year.  To answer the question, my first thought (having not seen them canoodling and without knowing how long she's been back) is to say, best guess at this point is mid-April for eggs.  Have to wait and see though ...

Hard to believe it is still a week until the end of the month - seems more like the second week of April.  Don't know if that will mean an early start to the nesting season or just that it's going to seem like a very long time (for us) until eggs are laid.  :-\

I vote for getting an early start ;D

Thanks for the photo, bccs, and thanks for posting it, rcf!  It's great to see our Princess, although her perch of choice is not so great!! ::)

There was a bird on the Richardson sign this morning Dennis reports - just one though and no idea who it could have been from street level.  The wind is lighter today and the sun is shining and that sign is always good place to sit in those conditions.  Of perhaps more interest is that this is one of the signs where Princess and Trey used to defend their territory from - so could mean that the interloping female is still around and good-enough form to be annoying Princess/Ivy.  Or it could be that there are other peregrines migrating through right now and either Princess or Ivy want to be sure that their claim to the Radisson is well and truly advertised.

Great to know that Ivy and his beloved mother, er I mean Princess, are back!

Any news if there has been a "bird down" after what looked like, a territory fight TPC?

No Allikat, or at least not yet.  I called around to the rehab centres to give them a heads up just in case but they hadn't had anything yet and they did promise to let me know asap if anything did come in.  I have a photo which I'll see about posting today and you all can let me know what you think.
