Tummies all full, getting very sleepy, wiggle, wiggle. . . . . and they're out like a light and all tucked in for their nap ;D

There's a lot of shuggling (TPC's word) going on.  When Princess came back this time all the chicks little beaks were wide open, they looked really cute.  It must be almost snack time  :)

Oh, snack arrived as I was writing this - yum, yum  :D  Okay one for you, and one for you and one for me, wait your turn!

Chick pile in the sun -- what could be better??? I see a parent's tail feathers in the corner of the web cam shot, and the chick pile has an occasional head popping up, as if to see what's going on in the world! Apparently all's well.

The chicks are all alone in a chick pile.  Is it warm enough for them?

Will any Manitoba chicks be getting the antenna and "black box" this year?
Will the fact that they were unsuccessful last year make any difference to them trying again this year?

That transmitters fail is not a new thing, they are high-tech pieces of equipment and as such, they break.  As for whether any of this year's chicks will get transmitters, that's not something we (the Project) know for sure yet but it's possible.  And it will depend on the birds themselves - as always if the conditions aren't right or safe, it doesn't happen.  Remember the Project isn't doing this research, we are involved to use our experience to help keep the birds safe and since this year's chicks have only started to hatch it will be awhile yet.

Seems our flufflings are now all stuffed full and are now doing the fluffle-huddle as we make little cheeps to each other.  The royal parent has taken off with the reminents of our bedtime snack that we couldnt eat!! :) :)
********
And now we had a fluffle-up and we are all snugged in!  Goodnight little peepers! :)

Any word on the where-abouts of Cade, Carson, or Beatrix?  Should they be having their own broods this year, where ever they are? :-\

No but we don't/didn't expect to either.  It is only occasionally that we get reports of our chicks before they turn up on at a nestsite with a mate.  When we do hear about our chicks before they are 2-3 (or more) years, it's usually because they have died somewhere, so we tend not to mind not hearing about them until they are older.  ;)

In my opinion, Princess is an icon!  She, is by far, the true definition of the ever so powerful and protective, Peregrine Falcon!

Can't disagree with you Allikat, an icon she certainly is!  A true peregrine through and through  :D
