This morning looked so sad as Princess (I think) had the night sift and her back was covered in snow. There is some snow in the nest box but I don't think I have to get the mini snow blower or shovel out as the gravel can still be seen. She now has her tail pointed West and facing into the back wall. Tomorrow will bring another day, the sun will shine and melt this white stuff away.

Hope Winnipeg doesn't get what we here in Yorkton have gone threw for the past 24 hrs...
Lots of blowing snow here in Winnipeg but I don't think as bad as you got hit in Yorkton, Donna. Sure hope that Princess & Ivy hunker down for awhile.

Hope Winnipeg doesn't get what we here in Yorkton have gone threw for the past 24 hrs.  If so , think the crew there needs to put up more protection for the nest.  Its ugly folks...........hmmmmmmmm ....... wonder if Tracy has a heater she can put in the nest ?

Poor Princess and Ivy, they are going to need all their resources to keep their eggs warm during the coming cold and snow!

It's surprising that Princess still visits Manitoba. Luckily for us, she is one stubborn peregrine.

Hmmm, looks like Princess is taking a short break, didn't see Ivy but he might have been bringing her food ... and yup, there is our boy on the eggs 60 seconds later.  Bit of extra stuffing going on there, not so easy for our little guy to get all four eggs under him ....  :D

Princess is on the eggs in the nestbox and awake and looking around outside.  Its cloudy here as we are about to get a dramatic shift in the weather, so I think it will be Princess on the eggs overnight to ensure everyone stays tucked up and warm - or at least this is what has happened in the past.

Elmwood Cemetry...that is where my parents are buried.. Are you sure it was a bird and not a spirit?

... :o :o i HOPE it was a bird, otherwise there is a pretty aggressive spirit in Elmwood cemetary  :o...personally, i couldn't understand why a spirit would hang around a cemetary;  the places they lived, maybe where they died, sure,  but there's usually a day or so between death and burial, so why would they hang around there?  Unless, of course, they were not REALLY dead when they were buried...hmmmm...(continued speculation...)

1810 hrs

Princess is on the eggs, she's got her butt stuck in the box with her head pointing outwards.  She's alternatingly watching and napping.  Think perhaps Ivy is due with dinner soon ...

Does anyone know when the fledgewatch board will be up and running this year?

How about we wait until we have healthy chicks and that they survive to fledging?  ;D
But seriously, fledgewatch board won't go live until shortly before fledging - so about the end of June.

Hi Everyone :) ;),

Just have now been able to get back on the board.  It is TAX SEASON so my life has not been my own.  Just loved reading all the posts so far this year.  Am surprised at the eggs this early in the season.   Can't wait to get out on the street to meet up with some of you again doing our "bird watching".  Love all the pictures and videos.  Got the excitement going in no time. :-*
