Any news on Beatrix yet. It's been over 3 hrs since she flew. What direction did she head off to?

In the video it kind of looked like she was going kind of south west...which would take her to the MTS centre and citi place, I think.

Thank you so very much for the video RCF.   I'm two time zones later and when I looked at the nest box this morning......had a sinking feeling that she was gone.     She was rareing to go, and probably hungry too.

Loved that phrase of yours Rose.  I hadn't even thought of Carson perhaps wearing a transmitter but sure does sound like a good idea!

Why isn't one of the 2 transmitters being put on Carson?

Now they will be able to put Carson back if he is ready, either on the Radisson roof or the nest box. 

There you are TPC a perfect opportunity to put a transmitter on Carson before he goes back to the roof or nestbox and since the transmitters are perfectly safe and won't cause any harm to the falcon you'll have two from Winnipeg and two from Brandon with transmitters better for the researcher and it will be one one down and three to catch.

I just home from downtown and read the news. Beatrix fledged just as I was getting on the bus to head down there. Got downtown just after 8:00. Explains why I didn't see a feather or hear a squawk when I got there. Circled the MTS a couple of times and wandered down by Air Canada but didn't see anyone or any birds. Headed back home at 9:45 and glad to hear that she fledged, hope you can report where she ended up soon.

Amazing, went out for my walk and missed it so thanks so much RCF for the video. Waiting impatiently to hear where she landed and how she is doing.

I thought I saw a falcon flying quite low at Assiniboine Park around 8:20 this morning. Didn't have my glasses on so couldn't see if it was a Peregrine or not. Actually not even positive it was a falcon...<gr>(It was a bird though...lol

Do the Raddison adults come out this far or could it have been one of the West End birds?

You are all welcome for the image file, I hope it helps people who don't know the downtown area figure out what is going on.

Thank you so much Rcf for capturing her fledge on video. All videos you have posted have been incredible. Before I left this morning, she was so calm. You caught her revving her engine and she took flight. Again, thank you!

Just got to the computer, RCF -- and there's your video of Beatrix fledging -- amazing! She took off so smoothly and seemingly without effort -- no hesitation at all; you'd think she'd been doing it all her life! It'll be great to hear where she went and that she's okay.
