Radisson - 2008 / Trey & Princess

Mom is back.  Looking at all the trouble mom had getting the chicks under her for a mom nap I wonder how much longer the (1/3 smaller) Trey can do the same thing.

Chick huddle, no parent in sight.

Looks like its a little breezy up there this morning. All the chicks are tucked safely under their mother. The wind is coming right at her behind and lifting her tail up a bit.

Shift change! Wow Princess is so much bigger than Trey! Both adults were with the chicks for about 30 seconds so it was nice to see the whole family together (even for a short time). Princess is now feeding the chicks and is finally standing off to the side giving a clear view of all three babies. Its hard to tell which chick is actually getting the food since all three mouths are so close together but Princess seems to be doing a good job of giving everyone their fair share. Short feeding and they're all tucked in again.

Trey brought in some food and was there briefly.  Princess is feeding the chicks chunks again.  Looks like all three are getting some.  It is a side feeding so ... that was over quick, now its back to sheltering from the wind.

9 degrees and wind from the SE at 15 kph.  I thought they were still sleeping until I saw your post.

Good morning everyone
It is 5:30 here and the chicks are getting breakfast.  Not sure who is doing the feeding.  Their back is to the camera, but I can see a chicks head bob up every once in awhile.  I think feeding is over and chicks are being tucked under.  It looks so windy out there.  I have not checked the weather yet so I do not know what the temperature is or how strong the wind is.  The feathers are really moving tho.

Now she looks like she's struggling to stick them under her for the night.  They're definitely getting bigger!  I assume it's Princess, since it's bedtime.

The light is just about gone, but Princess looks peacefully tucked in for the night with her kids.  I hope it's a good one.

Okay, the "It's magic" comment came from Eye-spy's kid.  S/he's not a softie...  apparently that's important!  lol

Now, ya see, that's the magic of this camera system.  Those moments are on here for a second, but Tracy and The Accountant can recover them from the system and save them for posting later
