The wind has suddenly picked up, mum came back and Trey, who was having all kinds of problems trying to get the chicks tucked under has left.

As I mentioned this morning in my first post ( when it was still foggy, Tracy.. lol  ).. our babies are being banded this morning here in Mississauga, and i'll post pictures if they ever get around to posting them.  Our web-cam has not been active ( talk about withdrawl ) but fortunately I live close enough to actually be able to see the birds once in a while.

Last time i checked in with our kids here.. we had four babies.. so.. will keep  checking to see if they've posted any information.

Again.. Hats off to Tracy and all who help her to keep us informed and up to date.. the amount of work must be enormous, and I just want her to know we do appreciate all of it.  The Mississauga Falcon web site could take a few lessons from her.

If we don't already have a thread going for the Mississauga birds, I will set one up in the Other Peregrine Cams section and you can include your links there for the photos.  Webcams aren't cheap to run but there are other ways of keeping folks in the loop, photos, blogs, forums so maybe all Miss needs is some more volunteers  ;D

And thanks LoriAn, appreciate the kudos, I'll be sure to pass along to Larry, the folks at CBC, Shaw and the Radisson.

Yep there has been a shift change

Thank goodness for high speed internet so I can watch both our crew and the banding in Ohio.  Wow are they loud, I had to turn down my hearing aids lol

You're right that bird was huge. Maybe we're just not used to seeing the whole bird being brought back or maybe it was a different kind of bird?

Looks like dad is back on duty now.

NO.. keep posting.. for those of us who are not 'allowed' web cam access by our 'uptight' IT departments, the running commentary is wonderful, and saves us abandoning our families for hours when we do get home checking up on all the updates.   ;)

Keep posting !.. this forum has wonderful people on it, no snide comments, no nasty issues.. and its refreshing to have so many people so concerned and involved in the lives of these birds.

That meal was a good size bird, not sure of species but it was almost as big as the chicks if not bigger.

My cat is thoroughly entranced, LOL

She's up on my desk, lying in front of the monitor watching Princess feed the chicks.

I don't want people thinking I am taking over the forum, I just know from the previous posts that alot of people work and I don't so I have the time to keep people up to speed as to happenings on the nest. If people feel I am posting to often or too much altogether, just tell me and I will slow it down.

Haha I was just teasing, post as often as you like. I'm sure the others really appreciate it.

Our crew are getting a meal. Not sure who is feeding them. The chicks are lining up for food.

The parents won't go anywhere with the chicks gone.  They will stay around the building for a week or the rest of the season even if the chicks aren't there - its their territory.  The 20-30 minutes the chicks are gone won't make any difference.

For all other posts on the Columbus birds go to - Other Peregrine Webcams .

this a question about the columbus banding.I do not know where to put it.
I thought they are to leave someone on the ledge to assure that the parents come back

Not happy about this.
Both parents came to the ledge and then one took off. the better be quick
