Hey motherhen. Well Tracy has said time and time again, that they won't take off from here no matter what. It is there territory. Also they are partners so one would never leave I would not think. If Princess is nesting, then that is great, but because you are sure you have not seen her all week, not even once, that bothers me, as we all know Trey sits on the eggs also, so surely she would be out flying around from time to time. Oh dear, always something for us to worry about isn't there? If another falcon had challenged Princess for the nest and for Trey, you would have seen it, or the "new"falcon" flying about. The only things it can be is that, a) Princess nesting (and just timing that you never seen her off eggs when she took a break)b) Princess has had an accident(and has not been found or seen to confirm it)c)Princess still around but prefers to perch on the other side of the Radisson and you just havnt seen her lately. I pick a) Perhaps she is on day shift and Trey sits on the eggs at night and that is why you have not seen her. Fingers crossed that Tracy can tell us "something" this weekend. She said she is checking the nestbox this weekend!
You are absolutely positive its always Trey and never Princess you see? I know,, you can tell them apart after all these years, but had to ask anyways.
You have a wonderful place to work to be able to see them flying about Motherhen, I appreciate your posts letting us know what you see (and don't see) , it keeps us close and involved even without the webcam. Thanks so much!!
