I've been watching the Elk river cam as well and thinking they will soon have their first flight....don't know if I'll be able to watch these 3 little sweeties flapping around on the nest ledge...the time is going waaaaaay to quickly....don't want them to fly away :(

Way too cute Pam.   :D

Just wait until they start running up and down that ledge, flapping their wings
like crazy! Then watch the postings shoot up and also the anxiety level LOL
I was watching the Elk River chicks today (they hatched May 19) - one was standing on the edge bouncing up and & down like a kid on the high diving board for the first time.

Sis is snoozing.  Brothers are wake and preening. Typical "preenage" behaviour. ;D

Hi Des, I know this is not on topic, but I usually open up the cam and then right click and open up the forum in new window. It works for me but there might better ways of doing it, which should probably be in the forum topic how to.............
Thanks, Linderlou,
Still couldn't get it but will stick to minimizing both and alternating, then try the tech ? section.
Thanks, tho'
p.s. still that the white poop and white chicks has a Darwinian connection for survival - combined as i said before with  innaccessability and mom and pop standing guard

One woke up long enough for a major poop shot but, just as quickly, turned into a sleeping pile of feathers once again.

Love the pics, Pam!

Reading today's posts, I see I am not the only one who has problems viewing the live stream at least some of the time.

The chick in the foreground was working on a wing:

I find it amazing how instinct kicks in when they start to hold a piece of bone
in their fangs and pull while twisting their beaks.
And this strengthens their leg and neck muscles at the same time!
