I'd be surprised if they moved.  Nothing wrong with the building, Princess has been there for 6 years, Ivy was hatched there and has come home before.  And the site has been occupied annually since 1989.  The lull may be that we are in the lull before egg-laying.  Also, both their movement patterns have changed.   With Princess and Trey you knew where each one would be in relation to the other.  Not the same with Princess and Ivy and we (and probably they) do not have their routine worked out yet ...

Is there any chance/likelihood they could have discovered somewhere else to nest?  ???
Well, let's hope not, Saoirse, or we may not have a webcam to watch them! ;)

Air quality check, Princess is on the nest ledge surveying her kingdom.
He was flying high to the noth and then disappeared behind the Kensington Building.

I was downtown today just after 1:30 and my path took me where I could check out the "J", the Radisson sign, the ledge, the nest box, the Sterling Building, the other buildings in the area, and did not spot anybody. I was back that way for a second view again after my shopping around 3:30 and still did not see a bird in the area. Had my binocs just in case and did not have to take them out. Bit of a disappointment but maybe next time will get to see them or one of them.

Quiet day from my perspective.  It's interesting seeing the differences between the two pairs - I saw a lot more of them with Trey than I do with Ivy.  Not even just the ledge vs nestbox, I usually see a fair amount of Princess on the Sterling bldg, and have not seen her there once yet.

TPC, does the female usually choose the nest with the male's scrape site, or would the female often choose a different location?

Well, bccs, you have a great location, a great roof and you are very generous about letting us in on the action.  ;) Thank you.

Yup, it was Princess. She was just having a good old preen, I watched for about 5 minutes and turned to go back in and there was Ivy, catching thermals to the east and south. He did that for 3 or 4 minutes and then made a beeline to the west side of the Radission. I looked back to the perch and she was gone too.
You are SO lucky to see all that you see, bccs!  :D In the Spring, I wish that my school were downtown!  ;) Thanks for all of your "air quality checks"! ;D

Just checking to see what was happening here.

I still hope Trey shows up but if not, it appears you will still have wee ones.

I hope Jules finds a mate.

this is a stressful time of year for us but I imagine the falcons are oblivious to it. :) :)
