Can't see into it Saoirse, so no idea.

Of course you can't -- duh! You always seem to manage to see quite a bit, but seeing into something several storeys above you is clearly beyond even your abilities! I should have realized . . . sorry about that, B!

And here I was beginning to think that bcc could see everything!  Ah man. (Hee hee)

 ;D ;D

bccs,
is that the ledge or the nest box. Hope not the ledge in question  :P
Nest ledge bev, where she had the chicks last year
Hey Bccs, if you're seeing Princess on the nest ledge, can you tell whether she's done any gardening? If she decides to lay her eggs among all those weeds, we'll never see them!

Air qualitycheck, Princess is on the nest ledge, I watched for a bit and then she hopped down into the ledge. She's still there as far as I know.
Maybe she will pick the ledge to lay eggs in again.  I hope not but I guess it is her choice as she lays the eggs.

Good to see they are for now at the nest box.

Would be nice

Just a comment. I think everyone is glad there will be chicks here and are in the Now. but as people come back to the site and are checking in, they are just  expressing their sadness at Trey not being here. They are not ,not glad to see , new relationships taking place.  We are all here for the peregrines .
Most of us have already had our turn at it earlier and have had the chance to now accept what is now. Others are just  now expressing their feelings.

Happy watching today everyone.
Hopefully  you do not have the wind and snow and rain that we got last night. Brrrr. Would make those air quality checks a bit brisk ;D ;D

I'd be surprised if they moved.

After TPC's response to my question yesterday, I came across this note that both surprised and intrigued me: " . . . returns regularly to favourite nesting sites—one pair after another has used the same spot in England since 1243." This comment probably doesn't belong in this thread but, because it follows a question I raised yesterday, I thought maybe it wouldn't be considered too far off topic.

Way to go, ritebird! I'm sure Mother Hen will be glad to have someone else keeping an eye on things from the west . . . those of us who aren't quite as close wait anxiously for reports (the next best thing to being there . . .).

...SOMEBODY was just soaring around in the wind just above Graham ave, near the Boyd building (I look west from the Hydro building) - still some brave pigeons fluttering around the Bay...

Hi Everyone,
I'm new ...er..an Egg I should say..and I look directly at the Radison from the west.  I'm trying to locate the west side nestbox.  Is it the platform up at the top on the black section?  I saw a very large bird sitting in it this morning but couldn't tell if it was a falcon or an owl.
Welcome into the forum. Yup, that's the nestbox and that would be a falcon. From Mother Hen's description, sounds like Princess.
Nice spotting ritebird!!

Ivy sure does blend into the Radisson colour and is quite hard to see but I still see him.....Both hanging around west nest.....He is looking into the nest and Princess just took off west again. Is Ivy the same size as Trey as he appears to be a bit smaller?? Just curious
