If Trey were to return, I suspect he would prevail.  Ivy is a very quiet bird and from last year, not exceedingly agressive.  Trey on the other hand will take your head off.  Could they/might they fight, always a possibility, particularly since Ivy has been using some of those hormones of his this year.  Of more interest is who would Princess support, Trey the mate she has been successful with her entire breeding career or Ivy who, from recent activity, is the father of this year's crop o'chicks.

And to use my favourite phrase at this time of the year, hurry up and wait, that's all we can do ...

...so, if Princess and Ivy are canoodling, what would happen if Trey should show up now?  Would there be a set-to?  Or is it more of a "you snooze, you lose"  situation?
I'm thinking there probably would be a "show down" between father and son, if Trey were to show up now! :o

not much effort by either in my opinion. :o

Hmmm . . . doesn't sound very committed . . . if they were people, I'd say they're obviously settling for second-best!  ::)

1130 hrs - someone (I assume Princess) is on the J of the JR Sign on the Richardson Building ... no one else visible to the spycam ...

I guess she worked up an appetite, although not much effort by either in my opinion. :o

I had to look twice to confirm Princess, TPC. Just too big to be him and his breast is glaringly white. And then when I witnessed the event, no doubt in my mind who was on the perch. ;D ;D

I missed the extra-curricular but I was looking at the bird on Ivy's Platform and thought, that malar stripe is just not right for Ivy, got to be Princess or someone else ... glad to hear that I wasn't seeing things (because of the background, I don't get a very clear image of whoever is on the Platform) ...

Air quality check - wow oh wow ;D ;D ;D ;D
I look up at the perch on top of the Kensington Bldg and there is Princess, yes that's right, Princess perched there. Put down my binoculars to get my camera and I spy Ivy circling around. Before I could raise my camera, the two of them became engaged in some " extra curricular " activity. :o :o :o

He then flew over to the side of the building and she is still on the perch.
All very quiet.

0845 hrs - all quiet in cam-zone ... no wind and lots of sun.  If the birds come sit on the sign I should be able to get some wonderful photos of them until about 1100 hrs (the sun is too far west for good photos) ...
