Do we know yet who that is who is always out on the balcony, always standing alone at the edge looking out at the world?  He/she was the last out in the rain, before finally coming into shelter and is now standing looking out while the siblings seem alert and waiting for something - do I hear a parent flying overhead yelling at something?!?

Dennis tells me that it looks like our noisy little male from the banding has managed to get the green tape off his leg band.  Told you they were little bandits!!  Growing too fast, getting too smart too fast.  I really hope when they decide to fledge they will put those brains to work and give us a nice clean, trouble-free fledgewatch!

(knock on wood)

Sounds like a good group of PREY animals. Here's hoping they can put this aggression to good use and not try to fight with tall buildings. ;)

They all appear to be fine this morning, three of them preening in front of the cam and one choosing to sleep in...

2153h
Severe thunderstorm watch and warning in effect for Winnipeg.  Large hail, flooding rains and the potential for tornadoes from Sanford north east through Winnipeg.  Similar storm warnings from Emerson through the Whiteshell and Lac du Bonnet.

The Radisson chicks are tucked in the back corner near the inside-box-webcam all in a huddle-cuddle with their backs facing outwards so they may get wet but that is probably the worse that will happen.

Somechickie is certainly enjoying some left overs. The other 3 are 'outside'.

Yummy leg leftovers.

Looks like we'll be getting the thunderstorm they are predicting - very windy out all of a sudden.

Mr green is now mr silver?

Great! :P  Now we have to try to tell him apart from Mr. White.  There is a White, right?  Green (now silver), White and Yellow.  And of course Ms. blood-drawing Red - won't be forgetting who she is ;D

Thank you for the photos Dennis. It is always interesting to see how the chicks are rounded up so you all can safely get them moved for banding.

No noise from the chicks under cover.  Perfect rainy Saturday for staying in bed. The raindrops are visible on the cam.

I just looked outside and is it ever dark in Fort Garry and wht wind has picked up. Not raining yet but I am sure it will be soon.  Looks windy downtown on the camera.  It is shaking.  No chicks are outside.  They are tucked under the overhang.
