Moonstar, I loved your summary about Jules and Beau.  If the electric company guys had watched for a bit, they might have understood the appeal better (rather than thinking you're nuts!).

Ok maybe the last 3-4 pictures of Polo are backwards.
That would make the most sense.
I can't imagine Tracy and Dr. Bob putting them on the wrong leg.

Just got back from checking on Jules and Beau.  When we got there Jules was on the letter P. She sat there for a long time preening herself and then she moved to the U.  All of a sudden Beau came around the corner of the building and sat on R (I think).  They were sqwaking at each other for awhile and then Jules turned her back on Beau.  They kind of took turn flying around the building and then Jules landed on the corner and sat there for quite awhile.  Beau was still on the letters.  There was an truck there for some electric company and the two guys kept looking at us and finally their curiousity got the best of them and they had to come over and see what we were doing.  He asked if we were watching the planes coming in and then we would race to the airport to see who got there first.  We told him to look up and he says "your watching birds, what do you expect them to do"  We said fly and gave a brief bit of information.  I am sure he thought we were nuts as he walked away.  Oh well.

Great pictures. I do have a question.
Isn't Polo's black band on the wrong leg?
He has it on the left leg.
The other chicks are on the right.

I do believe the band is on the right.  img_0023-1 shows it clearer.  I think in the other pictures the legs were crossed maybe.  I could be wrong though

Just love the last few photos of Polo in his new nestbox with his stuffed little crop!  So fiercely adorable!  

I see what you mean Doreen... that is most puzzling... Perhaps it doesn't matter which band goes on which leg?

Polo has spent the afternoon napping in the shade where there is a bit of a breeze.  He's also had himself sort of propped up, or tilted or something I can't really describe but it does look as though he may be getting some breeze under his belly as well as over his back ... its hard to tell though as I'm looking straight down on him - he's right below the camera

I imagine Polo has changed a lot since banding day. Just looked at those photos again -- the one of him sprawled on his back in the bucket is priceless (all are good, of course, but that one makes me smile every time)! He sure won't look like the same fluffy ball of white running around the rooftop!

He doesn't - and its getting harder to spot him at times he's lost so much fluff!

And yes, I will have video on YouTube tonight - will post a note here when they are up.

Polo is hanging out with Dad this morning - haven't seen that since he was a wee babe in the tuppernest.  Nice to know that the new location means that Jules doesn't feel the need to constantly velcroed to her kid.
