3 chicks sleeping at the moment and 1 chick looking around from "the corner".  ;) Now 2 chicks up, no, now all chicks laying down.

Interesting ... that almost looks like Princess in the nestbox getting out of the heat ... Ivy I would have expected ... maybe it is Ivy ... fascinating though, all the kids are outside, adult is inside ...

Why do the babies often face the wall is this a calming thing for them? They remind me of children being sent to a corner..lol. They are soo cute!

TPC wanted to know if the chicks feel just as soft as they look?  Not the beak or talons of course!!! :o

The downy white fluff right now is deceiving, its not nearly as thick or soft as it looks.  And the male Radisson chicks at this age have lots more flight feathers starting in a variety of places, so yes, the female is softer than the males, but its not entirely because of the downy feathers ... and those downy feathers shed, front of my shirt after banding was all white bits of feathres ...
