I believe that is the old Eaton's smokestack (the block that is Hargrave/Carlton/Portage/Graham) that we lost one of our other birds to many years ago.  It too fell into it but unfortunately perished.  Really, really hope Beatrix is ok.

Its on Graham Ave., just behind the Rogers Building. There is the parking garage behind Rogers where Fife was and then the CTC bldg is right next to that.

Obviously she will update us when she gets a chance.  Guess it was unnecessary for me to end my post that way... I was just so stressed and had to get it posted!!! Not sure where the stack is Saoirse.   :-\

I just found out too!  :o - My mom saw it on the news and emailed me! Wow, how long was she there? Glad she's ok!! - We'll look forward to TPC's update!!

Amazing how often it seems to happen that the chicks end up in these things. I recall hearing this at several sites over the past few years.

OMG!!! :o Just saw Tracy on CTV news!!! They found Beatrix at the bottom of the CTV smoke stack tower thingy!!!  She looked so cute sitting in the pebbles in the furnace... They said a crew working on the water works found her.  THANK GOD THEY DID!!! Tracy, please update us!

Oh I loved see the picture of Carson!! Thank You! From the cam it looks like a beautiful day for our feathered family. Well, I hope I can see some more nest box activity again tomorrow morning. Be nice to see 2 chicks in there! or even 3! I am not really an early bird, I am in New Brunswick, so at 7am its 5 am in Winnipeg! LOL Now 7am for me is early, but thats what I gotta do for at least another 14 years! Or longer! Yuck! LOL However I did see an eagle out on his morning round of the lake the other morning at 7 am. so guess it pays to get up and about to see the good stuff!    8)

I went through the downtown area around 4:15 or so and thought I saw one of the falcons sitting on the Raddison, near the north east corner. It was up a bit on something, couldn't see what it was perched on.

With the chicks at the Clinical Sciences Building over the last three years, they did not return to the nestbox after fledging, but they stayed in the vicinity.  We were able to spot them on various buildings all around the neighborhood, or they would do tours of the surrounding areas and return, until their final departure, i.e., migration.  They did not disappear, as may be the case with Beatrix.

S/he's been there for quite a while - I thought it was a juvie, but really could not be sure without my scope (which I took home......).
